@PerfectFifths I’m exactly the same way. XD It’s easy to spot it in others ’cause I’m like…oooh, yes, I know how they feel. 😛
That’s also one of the reasons I thought he was a J. Something I’ve noticed is that Feeling Judgers—some at least—tend to worry more over how someone’ll react to what they say, and/or be more afraid of hurting feelings. More than Perceivers do. I guess it wasn’t extremely scientific observation.
Hey @Leumeister, I really wish I could help out, but good luck all the same. 😀 *roaring inspirational music*- This reply was modified 7 years, 5 months ago by Emma Flournoy.
July 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm #37696Oh and @Leumeister, Flournoy is pronounced Floor-noy. The most common mispronuciation we get is Floor-nee, or Flur-nee. 😛

@perfectfifthsI just tagged everyone who has posted. 😛
Anyway, Aquila has grown a lot since I last posted. It hasn’t had much progress in the way of converting it to a TV show, but I’ve written quite a few more stories, some of which are almost finished.
I’ve done a fair bit of worldbuilding too. Well, kinda.
There aren’t any teleporters anymore and are replaced with Alcubierre torpedoes, basically, an Alcubierre drive strapped to a cylinder carrying the cargo. It homes in on a “mail slot”.
Also, speaking of Alcubierre drives, I took away the FTL handwavium and replaced it with something that is theoretically possible. Basically, an Alcubierre drive contracts space in front of a craft, and expands it behind it, allowing space to flow around the vehicle, creating “superluminal” speeds without ever going superluminal. However, it still displays in light-seconds/minutes/years per hour for simplicity, and that’s how much space has flowed around you.
And I figured out this universe’s pivotal innovation: Gravity manipulation. Without it, several technologies wouldn’t exist. The Alcubierre drive for one, artificial gravity, anti-gravity, force fields, and probably several other things, like tractor beams, and maybe forms of medical therapy. It’s like Zephram Cochrane’s warp drive discovery in Star Trek.
Anyone interested in Alpha-reading? There are 15 stories that I have at the very least started. And I have a couple more in my head still. And even after those that’s still not all of them.
May 26, 2018 at 9:21 am #73265@leumeister I would love to, but unfortunately I’ve got a huge project on my hands right now (launching my first published book this year 😀 ) and I promised myself I wouldn’t take on anything extra.
May 26, 2018 at 9:30 am #73266Wow, noice! 😀 Godspeed on that then! ^_^ Your own works take priority over others, especially if they’re gettin’ published.
May 26, 2018 at 9:31 am #73268@leumeister *grins* Thanks.
May 26, 2018 at 9:33 am #73269No problem. What did you think of the worldbuilding?
May 26, 2018 at 9:41 am #73270@leumeister it’s quite science-y but also plausible. 😀 I like the gravity manipulation thing. I have something slightly similar, only it’s a negative energy pulsar that basically creates a mini wormhole around the ship and enables almost instantaneous transportation.
Lots of cool ideas. 😀
May 26, 2018 at 9:53 am #73272@kate-flournoy Where have you been?
"In a mask, was he?"
May 26, 2018 at 9:57 am #73274@ariel-ashira XD Preparing for a book launch. 😛
May 26, 2018 at 9:59 am #73276@kate-flournoy Oh. Are you on SE?
"In a mask, was he?"
May 26, 2018 at 10:00 am #73277@ariel-ashira a little. I’m part of one of the guilds, but not as active as I should be.
May 26, 2018 at 1:03 pm #73295@leumeister If you need someone I might be able to read them. Though because I’m entering a short story contest and I still need to write it, I can’t do it until after June 4 (which is the day I turn it in so I’ll be done).
IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
May 26, 2018 at 2:38 pm #73308@Leumeister Me! As long as there’s no urgent time crunch, because life is rather full right now, I’d love to. Cool worldbuilding, too. It mostly went over my head, but still. XD
May 27, 2018 at 12:37 am #73336Cool! 😀 I think I can wait until June 4th. 🙂
Sure, take your time. 🙂 No rush. Just remember to comment. 😛
