      @freedomwriter76

      Wow, cool! Yeah, it’s pretty amazing how he forgave and all. Jesus tells us to love our enemies and forgive those who have wronged us . . . but man, is it hard to forgive even the guy who cuts you off on the highway (I don’t drive yet but I’ve observed enough to know that’s a surefire way to make enemies XD). I can’t imagine forgiving people who tortured you in prison and treated you so horribly.

      Awwweesomeee! I’ll definitely have to get around to Preacher On the Run sometime! (My TBR is full to bursting . . . XD)

      Oh, man, poor Nehemiah! *sobs* So much trauma for a person so young… my goodness. Do you know yet if his master treats him well (slavery is never right, but some masters were somewhat kinder than others), or does he treat him badly?

      Wow, that sounds like a good book! Thanks to you, I’ve added it to my never-ending TBR. *hides* If you’re ever looking for more biblical fiction, I highly, highly, highly recommend the Life of Jesus trilogy by Marjorie Holmes!! It is soooooo beautiful and made me cry and get chills all over. XD Trust me, those books are so powerful . . . they just made me feel things no other books have ever made me feel. My favorite of the trilogy was The Messiah, the final installment; but all three were incredible!

      IKR right. We bookworms are the kings and queens of multitasking. XDDD

        @joy-caroline. Oh, girl, I can’t imagine doing that either. Not even for the characters I write! Leon forgives people for throwing him into a Concentration Camp and killing his wife for crying out loud! I’m just like: “Ohhh….I could never do what you do, Leon.” XD

        Yeah! I highly recommend it! (Haha. I get you. XD)

        *Sobs with you* Yes, poor, poor Nehemiah. 🥺 Uh…his master treats him horribly. That’s why Nehemiah runs away again. 😭 Just like he did from the Royal Navy due to how THEY treated him. *sobs more*

        OOOH, that trilogy sounds wonderful!

        XD XD XD Yep! XD XD XD

          OK, so I know this is a touch belated, but here I am…

          I love those collages, and Rima sounds ADORABLE! I also love that it’s about Afghanistan and is about a soldier helping an abandoned child like that.  And what with his hardness and all that… (my heart is strung) It’s soooo sweet!

          Now, do you mind if I ask a few questions? Honestly, all your WIPs are intriguing, and this one has really captured my imagination.

          And this might be a really strange question, but considering that this is the war in Afghanistan, and what that war included, what branch/form of Islam did Rima’s family belong to? Because, that could add a lot of… interesting points. (Crying just thinking about it) Like, I know she’s practically just a baby, but now I’m worried.

          Children are causalities of every war, and it breaks my heart.

          By the way, if Rima is like she sounds like, she should totally meet Viktor’s littlest sister, Nadían. ❤️ Like, they’d be best friends.

          You have listened to fears, child. Come, let me breathe on you... Are you brave again? -Aslan

            @elishavet-pidyon. That’s okay! I know how busy life can get! 😀

            Thanks! Ohh, none of you have any idea yet. She is the cutest, sweetest little girl EVER!!!! Yep. He’s so hardened and a little girl takes such a special place in his heart. <3 (Oh, but isn’t that realistic? If any person can get through to a hardened heart, it’s normally an adorable little kid. XP)

            I don’t mind at all! I love questions! 😀 But thanks! I hope they’re intriguing. XD

            And that’s a great question! 😉 Let me think….I still need to do more research, but her family was probably Sunni Muslims, considering that’s the most common throughout the world, including Afghanistan.

            Ahh…yes, always children casualties. *sobs* Riker’s son, Jonathan, in Freedom’s Fire, is a part of the Hitler Youth. Poor kid’s only 10! (but there were ones even younger…like the 8 year old American troops found fighting them at the battle of Aachen. *sobs*)

            Aww! I’m sure they probably would! Rima’s just like how she sounds. Super sweet, super cute, super caring, but still with faults, obviously. 😉

              I am so sorry it’s taken me, like, an eternity to respond. *facepalms* I’ve been working this week, helping out with registration days at my school, and it’s been crazy busy. But I haven’t forgotten you, I promise!

              Oh my gosh, poor Leon! *sobs* My characters are a lot more forgiving than I am. Russell forgives people for treating him with absolute hatred, ridiculing him, insulting his daughter… and more. He forgives his brother AND his mother for their hatred for him and his daughter and the abhorrent things they’ve done to hurt him and Eliza, and he extends God’s love and mercy to everyone and keeps praying for them… *sobs* I am not that good…

              Aw man. Nehemiah’s life sounds ROUGH. The poor guy. *sobs for the ten thousandth time* Then again, all our characters seem to have very rough lives…

              Yes! I definitely recommend it!

                @joy-caroline. It’s totally fine! I understand how busy life can get!

                Aww, Russell. *sobs* Hey, our characters just inspire us to be better, right? 😉

                I KNOWWWW!!!!!! *cries* THEY ALL DO!!!!!

                I NEED TO FIND THE TRILOGY!!!! Thanks for the recommendation! 😀 (I love reading new books. XD)

                  THEY DO! And in all seriousness, Russell is one hundred percent the kind of Christian I want to be. He’s just such a kind, loving, and godly person and my favorite character ever.

                    @joy-caroline. He sounds absolutely WONDERFUL. 🥰 And I get that. I wish I was like my character Aadelheide, who’s always so loving, caring, forgiving, protective, compassionate, and holds onto her faith even up to her death. I don’t know how she does it. *sobs*

                      @freedomwriter76

                      Awww! She sounds terrific as well. *sobs with you* The kind and gentle characters are always my favorites.

                      BTW, have you by chance read Les Misérables by Victor Hugo? It’s one of my favorite books of all time, and judging by the kinds of stories you write and the themes you like to incorporate, I think you’d LOVE it. It is quite a monster of a novel (1000+ pages long) but so worth it!

                        @joy-caroline. Yeah. <3

                        I have not! I’ve heard a lot about it though! (I read your article that mentioned it.) That’s a really long Novel! But if it’s good, probably seems too short, right? XD

                          It is SO GOOD. I really need to reread it sometime soon so I can write a proper review for it! You should listen to the musical, too, if you haven’t heard it already. I like the original London cast soundtrack!

                            @joy-caroline. That would be great! A review would really help me understand the book a bit better, y’know? XD

                            I have not! But I do love music, so…think I’d like it?

                              Yeah, I’ve had some people tell me they’d love if I could write a review that would convince them to read the book. XD I really do want to write a review, but I’m scared to because I don’t think it would do the book justice!

                                @joy-caroline. Aww, you could do it, girl! I believe in you! 😀 (Also, like, I was just thinking that I want your book in my hands right now. XD If only I could time-travel…*sigh* The dreams of an imagination. I need Russell and Eliza!!! Not Mrs. Campbell though, I can do without her. XD)

                                  AWWW THANK YOU! It seriously makes me so happy to hear that someone wants to read my book. 🥰 And I really wish Russell and Eliza were real so I could go back in time and meet them. XD But I can definitely do without Mrs. Campbell, too.
