Sooo…I’ve had a novel idea for a long time, and though I’m not really focusing on it right now, I’ve truly been inspired by @joy-calle to still write this Novel one day.
It’s a topic I’m passionate about, my whole family is passionate about, and I’ve had an idea for a novel for it for a very long time, and I’ve finally mustered the courage to maybe write it one day.
Here’s the synopsis, and then I have character boards as well 🙂
1973.
Allen Williams, a pastor in San Francisco California, is just trying to keep his family and his church afloat in the turmoil times of the 1970s. He tries to focus his attention on God, but the chaos ensuing in his nation is too hard to ignore. The Roe V. Wade supreme court hearing is dividing America more than it’s been divided since the civil war. And Allen will have to decide, and he’ll have to come to terms with just how much he’s willing to compromise. But his decision may cost him everything.
Ryan Baumann, a budding politician, is trying to get himself noticed in the arena of politics. Politics takes up so much of his life, he doesn’t even have a family of his own yet. He wants to try and help stop the chaos in his nation by being elected to the senate, and he’s doing anything and everything he can to get him there. But as America descends into even more chaos over one issue, he’s left with a choice. And he may be putting his entire future on the line.
Both of their lives intertwined in the chaos of the 1970s, both Allen and Ryan’s courage and beliefs are put to the test.
They could be putting everything they have on the line.
But if they choose to stay safe rather than stand…
how much more are they willing to compromise on the truth?

This is an absolutely beautiful story idea! The collages are beautiful as well! And the title is perfection. I know it will turn out wonderfully when the Lord’s time comes for you to write it. <3
