@godlyfantasy12 So, the Regency era was from 1811 to 1820, and was named so for the period in which the Prince Regent ruled England in the place of his indisposed father, King George. However, the period is often extended from 1800 to the beginning of Queen Victoria’s reign in 1837 in popular culture and literature. (And there was your history lesson for the day! XD) I won’t be able to tie in the Chinese aspect of Mulan, but I’ve got a few things I can work with that should make for a great story!I actually recently read a Mulan retelling that pretty much fits what you’re saying–it’s called The Warrior Maiden, by Melanie Dickerson. I think you’d really enjoy it!
