Seriously?! This is part of a street team…so that person may be part of it!
So, what is it like having synesthesia and ADHD?

April 9, 2025 at 10:29 am #201364Yeah, that’s cool! I’m not going to use her name, but she’s a member of YWW if that’s where this book’s community originated from or something. We go to tea parties and dances together on occasion. (That sounds so upper class, but we’re just Victorian era nerds. š )
Well, synesthesia is fun. I don’t really know how to describe it, except – words have ‘color’ personalities that I see on the page. Your name is brown and buttery yellow. There are basic consistencies, as vowels a, e, i, o, and u are pink, green, yellow, red, and purple respectively. However, the saturation of the color depends on how the vowels are pronounced (the a in cat is normal pink, while in father, it is darker or hot pink). Letters also have hierarchies, genders, personalities, luster, and expressions. It’s a weirdly complicated system.
Okay, I technically have what my doctors think is medically induced ADD. I struggle to focus, my memory is bad, and easily get overwhelmed because I can’t follow all the steps in an assignment. But sometimes I get hyperfixated, the opposite, and dive into something for hours without being time efficient. For example, my dad found me spending five hours meticulously writing down all of the grammar rules in my online Latin course. The next day, I completely forgot about Latin and almost missed my class. These ADD symptoms might go away over time, they might not.
That was longer than it needed to be. But there you are. š

April 12, 2025 at 9:41 am #201604what color is my name?!?!

April 12, 2025 at 11:44 am #201605Iāve wanted to do this for a while, so congrats, youāre the first name Iāve tried to thoroughly illustrate! XD The Pinterest art gives an idea of the personalities, but I could list extra traits for each letter. As you can see, your name has some consistent theme. The green is very pretty! My apologies for seeing most of the letters as masculine.
I have now exposed myself as a crazy person, and I have no regrets."If I don't like something, it's probably sanctification. Ugh." -E.C.S.
April 12, 2025 at 11:45 am #201606So my name is green, goldish-yellow, and browns? COOL! I LOVE THIS! It is really so cool that you can do this! WOW!

April 12, 2025 at 12:16 pm #201607Yeah, it’s really fun!! Especially when I’m trying to think up character names. XD I put a lot of thought into the color symbolism and stuff like that, but nobody else can see it, hehe. ‘Lucille’ has subtle, important personality in it, and I decided Barnes goes by her last name because it hides the traits of her first name. It’s all pointless, I guess, but it’s part of the fun for me.

April 13, 2025 at 7:33 am #201614Oh totally!
I’m a bit geeky when it comes to language, so I always translate the name into the original language and find the meaning from there. Then I name the characters. Sometimes the name shows who the person is, sometimes the name is a lie, sometimes it shows what they must become.
(For instants, I named a hidden prince a name that, in Welsh, translates to “king’s heir.” No one knew that the answer was staring them in the face with his name, and every one was surprised when it’s revealed he’s the heir three books later. š) Ironic names are also fun.
One name I actually let it be plainly shown because I wanted the reader to enjoy the irony too. I named an avid atheist “Christian.”
Okay, done ranting.

Um, no one I know, right??
That is so confusing to my brain but really cool to see at the same time. š

April 15, 2025 at 7:19 am #201640Um, no one I know, right??
Oh my word. It could actually be Leon or Julian. We’ve known them for three books. š«¢
And Leon is like the hidden heir now that Dietrich is dead! The two were actually brothers because Dietrich’s father hooked up with Leon’s mother when he was a stupid teenager, and now Leon’s brother was just killed and he has no idea and he’s going to be the one to replace Dietrich and bring peace to the Empire!
What a twist! š±
I literally just came up with that. It would have been SO COOL! (except that’s not what happens.)
Nope, no one you know. It was from a different book. No one reads those books. They are buried under the bed and only come out for me.

April 15, 2025 at 11:13 am #201641And Leon is like the hidden heir now
Thatās what I was thinking! But I could not get his name to translate to ākingās heirā. It means ālionā. XD
Yeah, that would be really cool.
When are you starting the next book, by the way?

That’s always fun! I wish I could focus on that, but it’s too difficult to find the right-looking name that also has a good meaning. Most of the name meanings have something to do with my characters, but it’s often a matter of luck.
*Looks up the meanings for my MC names* Well, okay. My luck is pretty good.

April 17, 2025 at 8:27 am #201702That is stunning! Oh my gosh, I love the colors of my name! That board you made for Ellette is specacular! I’ve wondered off and on what seeing colors would be like…
Do you find it easy to remember things that way? I mean like written words. With them having a color, does that help you remember well what you read?

April 17, 2025 at 9:34 am #201706It was kind of crazy when I realized most people don’t see those things. š
Do you find it easy to remember things that way?
Yes, with numbers specifically! With multiples of 7 I can remember they start with green, then candy cane stripes, then cloudy blue, and so forth.
