I seem to be having a bit of a plot revamp, mind if I bounce some ideas off you two?
Ok so I recently got a friend of my sisters (She’s on her like 3rd draft of her trilogy) to critique my short story, and boy I needed that lol. Like I do just write for fun, but she pointed out something I never really saw, I write out of chronological order a lot. So I’m going to try to fix this in my writing a bit. Not that I’m going to change this, but the worldbuilding in my story has opened a opportunity for new stuff, what would you guys think about this for a start to my first book?
Ok so you might know that in the original, the west hills bunkers is split in two. In this draft, this hasn’t happened yet.
You get a general backround of that Tauren and Lesli work in the mines together to set the tone, and on Saturday morning, Tauren leaves to have tea with her in the shopping district. It’s Lesli’s 18th birthday, and he decides to umm go behind the counter of the bakeshop his mom works at and convince the manager who thinks he’s adorable to give him a free cupcake for him and Lesli. (he succeeds lol) while they are eating, a really bad earthquake strikes (like really really bad.) In fact, they don’t know this at the time, but the earthquake rips a giant crack in the ground, separating the professions districts from the labor districts. Basically, they are left separated from the upper class (Including Martha’s brother Owen and his son Keiryn). I have a lot of work to do in this idea, but yeah… just wanted to share.

Lol it’s funny you say that, I just told esther last week I missed being bored. Writing Marvel is great! And I mean you still get to practice the same things you would for your wip.
I’m ok? XD Just a lot going through my head atm. My mom has made the suggestion of my sister moving back, and me and her would share an apartment 😬🤯… if we can afford for the extra rent. Idk, I’ve only got like 4 hours of practice until I get my license, but there’s soo much more to learn before I really feel comfortable driving. But lol, too bad! You gotta go places even if you aren’t comfortable with it yet. I’m going to apply to a job at my school, I think you do stuff with social media so yeah I hope I get it.
I am rather confuzzled with my life at times these days, it’s like my life of being a normal person kinda ended when I was about 7th grade, I never made solid in person freinds since. I dunno… I can’t help but star at the teenagers playing frisbee outside my college… It’s like I’m further thrusting myself into adulthood simply because I don’t have a social life as a teenager. And I’m super busy (My astronomy class?? 😩 so much work!) I was ahead in my on compass art class today though so I doodled Keiryn and Lesli in my notes lol.
Do you name these chickens…? Or are they y’know… for consumption? 😭🤣

I’m the same way, I remember telling somebody I couldn’t get along with teenagers (Or did I say I couldn’t get them?)… lol I am one, I’ll bet I sounded so cocky.

I'm kinda working on an idea for my book, where perhaps Tauren and Lesli have opposite arcs? Tauren thinks he's kinda worthless without Les, and Lesli thinks she should handle everything on her own? Idk…
