@scripter-of-kingdoms
Yk, I don’t think I’ve shared much abt it O-O
Thank you for the interest.
My WIP is (so far) a three part book series about a world corrupted by confused and selfish people. These people have formed a civilization based around the concept of family separation to avoid any more wars inside the community, and around the planet. I was nine, and thought it would be cool if boys were separated from girls (ah, yes. My childhood dreams… XD) and so as boys grow up in one place, girls grow in another, all taken from their parents at birth, then when they’re grown they reunite with their families.
But a boy and a girl break the boundary, and at the ages of 13 and 12, cross over into the adult’s city, into the world without separation. They’re caught, discover a plot which they don’t understand but realize it’s BAD(the later books explain), and end up having to find a way to unite together the broken planet to save their way of life.
Anyway, that’s the plot of the first book. The second and third(which I’m still working on) are quite a bit more complex. Looking back on some of the older stories, I realize I was a serious little nine-year-old, lol.
I still love the childish fantasy I get from reading my old stuff, but quite a bit of it needed work. So, now, (as I’m in high/jr. high) it’s exiting working through it.
I’m just reading though this now, and fsr it makes me laugh. It sounds just a little bit ridiculous on paper.
I have the first book in it’s fourth or third editing draft, so it’s nearly complete. The second book is in it’s second or third draft and the third is in it’s first, just past the idea stage.
Wow, no, this sounds AMAZING!!! I seriously think this is awesome!!! I love this plot. Can I know more about the characters????? I’m seriously intrigued now!!! And can I beta for you when it’s done (if you’re ok with that??) 😀
Sorry it took so long to respond.
Lol, if you won’t up and run at my writing style, you can read it anytime!
Have you done any character personalization charts? (Idk what they’re called officially.) Basically filling in a personality template for your OC.
Please, PLEASE don’t judge my character names too harshly, the main four characters were designed and named when I was a lot younger and I still don’t have the heart to rename them.
The main two characters are Jeremy and Violet. I think I may have had a crush on a kid named Jeremy at the time when I came up with his name or something, cuz I stuck to it Lol.
Violet is very much like I was back when. She was kinda shy but had quite the will when it came down to matter of opinion and defending friends and family.
Jeremy is also strong willed, with good morals, he’s selfishly based in most of what he does, but he gets better. Mostly, he’s pretty chill. Only time he yells–that I can remember–is when another character holds him back from protecting his friends.
Tbh, it’s some of the side characters that I love the most. But a lot of those (Tali, Reef, Kiara,) come in on book two.
Oh my word I’d love to read it!!! 😀 Yes, I have done character profiles, I looove doing them. 😛
Aw, haha, I’d never judge XD I think those names are great! I love the name Violet 🙂
Oh, I love the characters already. (And the story behind Jeremy’s name is so funny LOL) Their personalities sound amazing, it definitely sounds like you’ve spent a lot of time on them! Yeah, I get that about side characters, haha. I’m the same way. 😛 But yes, I totally wanna read this if you’re ok with that! 🙂
Okay *deep breaths*
I’ll send you a google docs then! (unless you’d prefer Word, which I have a copy on)
Either send me your email, or I’ll send you mine!
Lol, thank you for not judging my names. Also idk why I make nearly all my side characters more likeable than my protagonists, it just always ends up happening somehow XD
@anatra23 Sounds perfect (google docs would work better for me 😛) Haha, ofc. XD Yeah, same here! I’ve toooootally fallen in love with secondary characters multiple times. XD
I’ll send my email in a separate reply and then once you’ve seen it I’ll delete that reply if that’s ok with you. Just don’t want the whole wide internet knowing my email XD
