      A flame has been relit in my soul. I think I can confidently say that DiCamillo was one of the top influential authors in my childhood, and if you haven’t read some of her stories, you should. Her books have won many awards, and have a distinctly melancholy voice. Her most popular books are probably Tale of Despereaux, Flora & Ulysses, and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.

      If anyone wants to discuss her books, this is the place.

            Yaayyy!! Yes, I have!! And I’ve read most of her books, I think. It’s been a long time, but the memories just suddenly flooded back into my mind this evening. Flora & Ulysses has got to be her strangest book. XD

                      That does in fact look like a quality book. ? But nevertheless, this topic is designated for the boring books.

                          @whalekeeper

                          ? Boring books!? Kate DiCamillo wrote the Mercy Watson series! ?

                          I will admit that I have seen several of Dicamillo’s book that caught my interest while browsing, but their descriptions seemed kinda pain filled, and I’m not particularly interested in more woe in my life.

                          Have you read Beverly, Right Here, Louisiana’s Way Home, or Raymie Nightingale? They have interestingly done covers.

                            We watched that movie so many times, I… Well, I don’t know how to finish that sentence because I can’t recite the movie or anything, but we watched it a lot. XD

                              Ha HA, the sensible Power has made an appearance!

                              Mercy Watson, I agree, is not boring.

                              but their descriptions seemed kinda pain filled, and I’m not particularly interested in more woe in my life.

                              This is true. This is very, very, very true.

                              Have you read Beverly, Right Here, Louisiana’s Way Home, or Raymie Nightingale?

                              I think I read one of those? I was in my ebook discovery phase at the time, and I don’t remember a lot of my reads from that phase.

                                What’s your reaction to the movie giving the jailor a happy ending when he died in the book?

                                  I’d forgotten about that. I think the movie was aiming for a more lighthearted ending (not just the ending, the whole thing in general, I suppose).
