thank you for posting and thus distracting me from wasting time on random TF2 art blogs and gawking at how cool other people’s tenth class ideas arebut yeah, anyway. I recently decided having ten classes kinda throws off the divisible by three thing the original nine had, so I was like “WELP, TIME TO MAKE TWO MORE FANCLASSES” lol

@esther-c yeah same. That happened to me once. The main character of my current WIP has the same name pronunciation as one of my cousins (different spelling though)
Fortunately I haven’t interacted with this cousin in like a decade so I don’t think she’ll be too offended about a name similar to hers being used for a character if she ever finds out.

@linus-smallprint wow!!
also, I’m not sure if you’re referring to Alan or Rour, but I think neither of them went too far. They both are wrong about something and think they’re right, and as such it’s messing with their minds.

@mineralizedwritings Just something I pulled off Planet Minecraft (a pretty reputable mod website)
It’s got the nine characters from a shooter game I like, and they hunt mobs for me. (They also have a penchant for randomly insulting them……lol)
I also have the Halo texture pack on.
ahaha the bundle update? I haven’t used them yet! Gonna…[Read more]

Leo
“I know.” Footsteps in the distance clicked faintly in his ears. A buzzing radio signal flared nearby. The security team no doubt. Leo looked at Rory, eyes narrowing. “You ever climbed a brick wall?”
He took the Kid’s wide eyes as an answer. Leo leaning against a classroom door as he fished around for the master key. Two…[Read more]

@esther-c lol
My character names are usually pretty unique, but I often source them from people I know or other characters with similar names, and change a letter or two. Or I name them a word that relates to their personality or stick two words that sound good together (that works better for fantasy stories than modern or contemporary ones)

@ellette-giselle ehhhh I have weird conversations here too.
Do you think Linus Smallprint has forgiven us for taking over his chat to discuss the finer points of being obsessed with a character?

@ellette-giselle lol that last one
I have a charrie who would be the same. “Wear a mask” people say, and then he shows up wearing like a ski mask kind of a thing, and everyone freaks out for an entirely different reason.
@power whaaaaa? lolllll

@theshadow to be completely honest I don’t know where most of my ideas come from. I just make them up one day and run with it. TF2’s crazy lore means anything goes, unlike most fandoms where you kinda have to stick to a few rules about worldbuilding, so I can run wild with this stuff.
and lol I actually wasn’t aware there was a real salam…[Read more]
