@theacornman I’ve never read any of Paolini’s books, but I really want to… once I get through the large stack of library books sitting by my bed XD Honestly I have so many books that I want to read right now. I wish I had enough time to read 24/7. *sigh*

@theacornman I just realized I never introduced myself XD Oops! Welcome to KP! This has probably been asked already, but I’m too lazy to go through all the posts. Who are some of your favorite authors?

@theacornman YES. Friends of Middle Earth, unite!
@epicaddie2 Good idea! XD The weird thing is, I’m going to a friend’s birthday party on that day. Strange coincidence, if you ask me. 🙂 -

@ethryndal *sneaky grin* It was a well kept secret. Although it wasn’t really a secret in the first place. But now it’s out!! *dramatic music*
@theacornman Not that I know of. I believe this coming Friday is Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday, but that, unfortunately, is not a nationally recognized holiday. 🙁 -

@TheAcornMan The naval history is the BEST. Have you seen the A&E mini-series Horatio Hornblower? If that period nautical stuff is something you like you’d probably love that. It’s one of my favorite series.
Heh…the main one that comes to mind (and another more minor one) was a rip-off from the Viking Quest book series by Lois Walfrid…[Read more] -

@theacornman That sounds like a destructive eagle. I’m assuming it is bigger than a normal eagle also since otherwise I don’t think it could destroy settlements… Unless it went around breaking their arms, which any normal raptor could do (But they don’t. They’re just strong enough) and shredding stuff with their beaks. Neat.

And yes sometimes we do imitate Americans but are far more likely to imitate the Russian accent.
Russian accent? That is beyond cool. XD

I am starting to get into a really bad habit of not reading. I kinda need to be kicked for it lol.
I may or may not be guilty of this also. Maybe I should melt my own chair.

@TheAcornMan I actually did write, when I was younger. They were mostly rip-offs, of course.
I have thought of doing it since, but never very seriously…I think I’m happy enough with my sister’s writing (I’m sort of ‘editor-in-chief’) that I don’t really want to do my own, and I know I wouldn’t be as naturally good at it as she is. 😛 So I don’t…[Read more] -

@TheAcornMan I’m glad. 😀 I know though, books are very often better. I’ve found that if you want a pretty accurate book-to-movie adaptation, BBC does very well with it. I’ve seen a lot of BBC period dramas (mostly Dickens, Austen, Gaskell), and in my experience they’re usually really accurate. And SO WELL DONE. I love BBC.
Actually I’m not a…[Read more]

@TheAcornMan Yeah…I’ve read that most of the movies of it aren’t very accurate to the book. 😛 But the book is REALLY good. Unabridged.
I like the LotR books and movies, both in different ways. Have you seen the movies, but don’t like ’em?
Heh. 😀 Go bury yourself in the library for a bit. Maybe that’ll help. -

@TheAcornMan Ha! That’s funny. Yup, I really love Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables. Have you read it?
The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorites too. -

@TheAcornMan Hi and welcome! It’s really so cool to have a Brit here now. We have an Irish person but no English.
I’m 16 soon to be 17 and play the violin too, and love British history. 🙂 Do you have a favorite book?(@GracieGirl then we’re almost the same age! *high-five* My birthday’s in early-mid January…sooo, about one month or so before…[Read more]

@theacornman I’m a total cat person. They can be conniving little balls of fur, but I love them anyway. And my cat is definitely not paying me to say this. ;P @graciegirl I was wondering when someone would bring that up. 😉

@theacornman Ah yes it was Cromwell I was thinking of the pesky arrangement of the are and replacement of the “N”. 😀 lol
@dragon-snapper It was Cromwell Cornwallis sounds familiar but the guy I was thinking of over through the government, but *grabs notes* I’m writing Cornwallis down encase it becomes useful for my RW story. 😀 Thanks! -

@salome01w4g I love historical fiction too!! in fact, most of what I write is historical fiction (sometimes mixed with fantasy, coolest combination ever)
@theacornman that sounds like a super cool story. it would make an interesting novel! Sorry, everything in my mind can become a super cool novel. 😛 -
