I know, @kate-flournoy. I was talking proportionwise. I know a lot of extraverted writers, but they seem to be in the minority.
@anna-brie I know. I’ve studied psychology a lot and read a ton of books and did a ton of research on extraversion/introversion. I didn’t really know how to condense all that information into one explanatory comment. I…[Read more] -

Intoversion/extraversion is merely a question of where your brain is at rest. Introverts tend to be calm, reserved, thinkers and their brain is at rest when they spend time with a few chosen friends or alone, whence the confusion people have between introversion and timidity. They dream vividly and have a tendency to have overactive imaginations.…[Read more]

Hey! The 300th post on this subject!
Will you guys agree with me on my guessing that a great majority of us writers are introverts? -

I do that all the time, @anne-of-lothlorien. Most of the characters in one of my stories are modeled after my brothers and sisters who grew with me on the same infamous beanstalk in the corner of mr Blanc’s bean field. Ahh, the memories…

I remember the day I spilled the beans about my secret life as a writer. They gave me two black eyes and ran after me, calling me names like “Black eyed pea” or “Borlotti bean” before I managed to escape from them by dropping through a crack in the cupboard door, @dragon-snapper. Happily, they never found me again, and I am happy living in the…[Read more]

I see. I guess dragons don’t like when their fellow dragonians leave the piles of shining riches and golden objects to turn to dull pencils and fragile paper. In any case, that’s how it is with us beans, @dragon-snapper.

I’m finished for now, @dragon-snapper @hope @kate-flournoy. I’ll be getting on to more homework, then it will be bedtime.
Ps. @dragon-snapper, been snapping any dragons lately? -

I’m using Pages, @dragon-snapper, so I don’t automatically know how many words I wrote, unless I ask it to tell me as I go, which I didn’t and should have. Something around the six hundreds, I guess, with a lot of thinking in between to keep my imagination in check. This is not like a novel, I’ll be graded on this. I still enjoy it, though.

I’m writing a research project for school. It’s still writing and I enjoy it a whole lot :o)

I’m not exaggerating. It really exploded. That’s the only time I had to vacuum-clean my computer. I don’t know what that substance was, something like potato starch. Oh what a mess.

What’s rather interesting is that I’m an intj when I get enough sleep, which isn’t the case right now. I actually took the same test twice, once during vacation (I slept enough) and once during a work month, andcame up with very different results – and very different writing.

I am an infp and I do that all the time. I went through this sort of situation, and my writing was used a lot to help me calm down and get rid of some of the pressure building up inside me.

You know you’re a writer when you cannot watch anything happen without describing it to yourself.
