@alia My characters usually have a little bit of me in them, and a little bit of my brother, my sister, or my friend, or a random person I meet on the street. 🙂 But this particular character she was talking about actually has several very similar character traits to me, which are pretty obvious to my siblings when they read the story. I us…[Read more]

@alia Aaand, I’m back. 😛
Oh, that’s wonderful. 🙂 It’s amazing to realize that I have the power to save the lives of fictional people in a fictional world which exists at present only in the mind of a girl who lives quite far away from me, and whom I’ve never met.
*sits back and contemplates my impact on society* – that is – fictional…[Read more]

@valtmy My problem isn’t infodumps as much as it is “bridge” sections. I don’t know if there’s an actual name for them, but they’re the parts where you go down in between the exciting passages and have to get the characters from one place to another. There are things that have to happen in between, so I can’t just skip the bridge and go on to t…[Read more]

@valtmy Really? If you figure that out, will you please let me know the secret?! I’m working on an annoyingly boring passage myself. 😉

@ariel-ashira Goodbye! 🙁
@valtmy Oh, okay. SeekJustice is in Australia, about sixteen hours ahead of me. Usually I stay up really late and talk with her at about 11:00-2:00 a.m. while it’s only lunch time for her. 😛 What are you working on right now?
@alia Hello! How’s it going? (I’m on and off right now too, since I’m watching my litt…[Read more]

@valtmy That’s okay, but…what?! Where do you live?
@ariel-ashira I’m going to be off and on, since I’ve got to watch my little sisters while my mom is out of the house. So my replies might be slow or quick depending on what’s going on.
How’s it going? Working on your biblical story?

@ariel-ashira If you were here for only a few seconds I may have missed you, but if not, hello!

@ariel-ashira Well, I’m here for a little while, and it is morning, so are you on now? 😉
@seekjustice Oh, okay. 🙂 Haha, nope. Don’t follow that advice. You might end up dying, don’t you think?

@seekjustice Hm. Yes, I should go to bed. 😀
Okay, see you tomorrow hopefully! And I’ll keep praying for your arms.
Goodnight.

@seekjustice Do that, and let me know what you think. 🙂 I was actually introduced to Studio C through KP myself, so I guess I’m passing it on. 😛
Chara’s doing okay, but I’ve been getting distracted looking up a certain Richard of England…
I’m going to do a bit more writing and then sign off too. Are your arms feeling any better?

@seekjustice Yup! 😀
They’re a Mormon comedy group based out of BYU, so most of their sketches are clean. I really hate that they include magic, Harry Potter, and stuff like that in some of their sketches, but for the most part they’ve got good, family comedy.
Here’s the sketch I was talking about.
And here’s another sketch, just in case…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yes, totally. I was just trying to think of any possible arguments for the side I chose. If I was arguing against Richard, I’d think up really good arguments for that side instead. 😛
Haha! I’m only “contemplating” the story at all! I doubt it’ll ever get written. I’ve planned the premises for probably two hundred stories and…[Read more]

@seekjustice A great many kids revolt against their own fathers during their growing up years. It is only with the sons of kings that it has such great consequences. 😛 (I am not in any way excusing rebellion against parents. I am simply stating the fact that Richard wasn’t a whole lot different from a normal person.)
One thing I have to say a…[Read more]

@seekjustice I agree that the original versions of Robin Hood were pretty bad. That’s why I said I like the opera and movie versions. 🙂
Okay, if you want to argue against Richard, I’ll argue for him. I’ve just been reading his bio on Wikipedia, and only have seen one horrible thing he did, and that was the order of the persecution of the J…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yes, he does usually kill the king’s deer. That usually is not the most important aspect of his outlawry, and he does it because there is no other way for him to eat, or for him to feed the people he is responsible for, (since he has many followers, and also considers himself responsible for his former tenants, the people of…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yeah, no. I don’t like that version of him either. In the opera his backstory, (as far as I can remember; I saw the opera three years ago,) is his father was the Earl of Locksley, and Richard went off to fight in the Crusades, and when the Earl died, Robin should have inherited Locksley, but Prince John stole it from him. @seekjustice Shame on me, but I’ve never actually read the original Robin Hood book. My grandmother had it a few years ago, but I never got around to reading it and now I guess it must be in storage where a lot of her stuff was put when she moved. So, my knowledge of the Robin Hood legend mostly comes from the RH opera and four or five old m…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Okay…maybe you’re not quite heartless. 😛 I’ll think on it and get back to you with the verdict.
Hm, John in love with Marion too? I considered that. I’m not sure. That would be pretty cliche, though, wouldn’t it? You have just one female character in the story, so all the men are in love with her? 😉 I guess that could…[Read more]

@seekjustice Well, I don’t like turning good guys into villains, but I have no problem with turning villains into good guys. 😛 So what I thought was…of course, first of all Prince John is good. I needed a bad guy, so King Richard will be semi-bad. I didn’t have too much of a problem with that because you don’t really get to know Richard as h…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 I no longer think @seekjustice is the most heartless character-killer here. You are worse, in that you actually gloat over it, while she at least is sorry for her characters.
