@alia Kind of. 🙂 It depends on what you mean by affordable. The prices are high enough to indicate to me that the clothing is good quality, but not super high. I don’t know what you usually consider paying for an article of clothing. If it’s too high, sorry. 😛 That’s partially why I haven’t bought anything from there yet. I’m saving up.

@seekjustice Oh, you are here. 😛 Hello! Yes, Blimey Cow is great. I don’t watch it all that often, though. Let me think what one of my favorites is…hmm…maybe the homeschool mom video? That one was really well done.
Also, definitely the “Seven Ways Hollywood is Painfully Out of Touch.” That emphasizes what I and a couple other girls…[Read more]

@alia @jenwriter17 I’m back! @seekjustice Are you here yet? It’s just a little bit earlier than usual. 😉
Jen, it sounds like your hair is perfect for doing vintage hairstyles! 😀 Hooray for you. I can imagine a lovely chignon in your hair. Or a simple side roll for the 40s or 50s. The styles that’ll be hard for you are probably 60s hairs…[Read more]

@alia Have you seen the Matt/Mallory fortune teller sketch? “…but it could be fun, though!” That’s one of my favorites, and my dad loved it when I showed it to him. 😛
Well, first I’ll ask, what size are you? 🙂 And, um, what are you meaning by “nicer?” Do you mean business clothes, church clothes, or casual, but feminine clothes? 😛 So…[Read more]

@ariel-ashira Yes, for the first while of my life all the books I read favored the North. Later I heard the other side first from my parents and then in some pro-South books and was able to see the good and bad about each side.
She turned six today. 🙂 I taught her the A.A.Milne poem “Now I am Six” 😉 Yes, we do have a lot of bi…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Well, I’m going to go now. My little sister’s birthday party is about to start. 🙂
See you later! Will you be on tonight?

@jenwriter17 In The Truman Show Truman is the main character on a tv show, but doesn’t know it. It’s a reality show and he’s been living all his life there, I guess, on a sound stage where everything’s fake. But they’ve tricked him into thinking it’s real. Everyone else he meets are actors and actresses, even his wife. His father “died” whe…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Thank you, thank you!! I love chocolate! *gobbles up chocolate…like a lady…* *is reenergized*
Fortunately, there isn’t going to be a sequel for Chara, so once she’s done I’ll just give her a “happily ever after” and she can be satisfied with that. 😀
That reminds me somewhat of the movie The Truman Show. Have you heard of it…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Cool. I’m working on my western. Who would’ve guessed? 😛 I’m planning with myself to write a lot today, but…let’s see if that really happens. 😉
Has Rin forgiven you yet, for all you put her through? Is she demanding more pay before she agrees to work in the sequel?

@seekjustice @ariel-ashira @alia @skredder Is anyone writing?
@jenwriter17 I get a lot of my clothes from Ann Taylor. I wear mostly knee-length and midi skirts, so I don’t know if that’s too short for some people, but Ann Taylor carries a lot of nice skirts/dresses which I am comfortable wearing. We shop at Macy’s pretty often, too, and they u…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Oh my goodness! I just realized I didn’t put a smiley face after the “barely worthy of being answered” like I intended to! Whoops! That was meant as a joke and I hope you took it as such. I meant that it’s a crazy horrible question. 😉

Hey, you know what? I’m going to do this again, too. 🙂
@catwing Chara would probably rather be blind, because being deaf would shut out music and laughter, and that would be horrible! 😛 Same with everyone else. I mean, seriously! Who would pick being deaf over being blind?!
@jenwriter17 That question is barely worthy of being ans…[Read more]

@seekjustice Writers’ Corner seems to be the only topic that really survives here anymore. 🙁 I guess we discuss anything and everything here now. 😀

@seekjustice Really? I hardly ever have heard cursing in folk music. But okay, thanks for the warning. 🙂 I’ll proceed with caution.
I remember flapping my arms around weirdly once with two of my, would you know it, homeschooled friends! 😛 We were playing a game in which we had to give crazy lectures on topics which we totally didn’t bel…[Read more]

@seekjustice I didn’t know Waltzing Matilda was an Australian song either! 😮 😛 The title of Click Go the Shears sounds very Australian, though. 😉 I’d love to see a – what do you call it, station? – sometime. We’re more cattle than sheep in America, I think. Thanks for the titles, I’ll look them up!

@seekjustice Cool. Well, yes, I guess other people do sing it. 😉 I learned it from a singing teacher we had a really long time ago when I was probably seven or eight years old. I’ve heard it in a medley of folk songs recently, though, and since those were mostly American folk songs I wondered if it was actually Australian or not.
You re…[Read more]

@seekjustice Today I was singing the old kiddie song, “Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree,” and wondered if you sing that in Australia, or if it’s just an American song about an Australian animal. So, I’m asking you. 😛
