By the way, have you listened to all the Tale of Two Cities musical?
I love Michael Crawford’s laugh at the end of the Phantom Act 1. Its so evil and yet kind of funny at the same time.
But it wasn’t just that we thought it was funny, we were like pretty much losing it.

I think, that yeah, maturity has a lot to do with it and I don’t know any seventeen year olds that would be mature enough to get married.
I also can’t fathom wanting to get married at all, let alone when you’re seventeen and so mature that you burst into giggles every time you hear Sydney Carton’s girlish laugh. That was most…[Read more]

@alia Well, @ariel-ashira and I are both prodding you 😀

That’s pretty cool. I’ve thought about going to work in a ministry like that, as its something I feel passionately about.
Whoa. Getting married at seventeen is pretty serious. And yes, that went off topic fast 🙂 I think my friend got married when she was nineteen and I thought that was pretty young.

If I was in the right social sphere people probably wouldn’t even blink. Sapphire is not based on my personal experience but I’ve known plenty of girls like her.

Poor Maryland, I feel sorry for it now 😀
It’s a good thing for everyone involved in KP that I am not an evil stalker coming to murder you all, because once I know where everything is I can narrow things down pretty quickly 😛

That’s exactly right! It’s a good excuse to get out a social situation you never wanted to be in though. “Excuse me, I must go. My child is calling.”

I think I’m free now 😀 But still, my novel is calling me and Michael Cerularius is not.

Well, I’m critiquing the excommunication of Michael Cerularius in the Santa Sophia church, trying to finish off my novel and also listening to Irish music, all the while getting distracted by Pinterest. Such is life.

I’m not sure if you ever have said explicitly. But my brain decided you lived in Virginia. Based on what you said the other day though, about Washington DC, you probably either live in Virginia (or West Virginia), Maryland or Delaware.
So you live in the South but aren’t really…Southern?

I’ve learnt more about the Great Schism of 1054 than I ever thought I wanted to 😛
I don’t know, once I start a novel I just ovsessively keep going until I’m at the end.

Oh cool! I love going to the zoo 🙂 I’m not writing currently but I’m critiquing my dad’s bible college paper.

Okay, I’ll be sure to tell her that too!
Well, I’ve heard the saying before, but only in American movies. But…wait…aren’t you from the south too? *frowns again at map*

Dog-sledding in Alaska sounds really cool!
Um. We call them “Police men with dogs”. Okay no, it’s called the Dog Unit, or the Dog Squad, I just looked it up.

Bye! (I’ll pass that advice on)
The Scarlet Pimpernel is a fun book! Nowhere near as deep as A Tale of Two Cities or anything, but it’s a light read and that’s sometimes the best thing.
@catwing I don’t know, but we don’t say that! Does it kind of mean, “that’s just the way things are”?

SeekJustice replied to the topic Writers' Corner #16 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years ago
@catwing Completely off topic, but that is basically the weirdest saying ever. No one says that in Australia ;D

SeekJustice replied to the topic Writers' Corner #16 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years ago
@catwing I might cause my readers less pain if they did take death escape classes. Though, I mean, they’ve had some pretty good escapes. One of my characters was executed, and then I resurrected him.

My feelings on Jane Austen are not complimentary. For the amount that the guillotine features in the Scarlet Pimpernel books, people rarely ever die. In fact, I don’t think anyone dies in the first one excepting that random marquis that Marguerite accidently denounced before the start of the book. And, like…um…I can’t think of…[Read more]

@rochellaine I’ll find you all one day 😛
Nope, I put it up the other day when I was talking to you about all the things I wanted to do in America, because I realised I literally have no idea where anything in America is. So it’s up there now, and I have some sort of mental picture of all the states in relation to one another. It’s up there…[Read more]
