The first thing you should know about Aussies, should you ever visit us, is that we make fun of everyone and everything. Usually Americans 😀
And yes, he is deaf and doesn’t speak, so everything he communicates would be by writing, and though I think people do write more formally than they speak, I actually think he probably would…[Read more]

I think the feeling is mutual 🙂 Australians also make fun of  American English (I remember the first time I was confronted with the word Mom).
I’ll remember that though. He will tease mpeople by calling them bloke

No, its for my third Infinity book, so its set in the future, but since my Australian characters are fairly modern Australian the Americans will be too.

So, as most of you probably know I am Australian and I probably know less about America than you know about Australia.
This is problematic, because my current WIP has a character who is demanding to be American (no idea why, that’s just how he is). Specifically he is from Ohio. Now I kind of need to know about Americans, what slang they use in…[Read more]

I’m 95% certain that the reason I am so heartless regarding my characters is that I was traumatised at an early age by Beth dying 😢
I just listened to a few of the songs. Hopefully I’ll have time to listen to them at the library tomorrow 🙂
I like Hugh Jackman (my fellow countryman) but I haven’t heard that particular…[Read more]

Basically Little Women has just broken my heart in less than five minutes.
Have you read the book or listened to the musical? (I didn’t even know there was a musical until just then)

Hopefully no one else will have to die for Justice. I don’t think he could stand that.
But King of New York is a pretty cool song, so i wouldn’t blame you if you were in love with it.
Hmm…female duets are kind of hard to find…
I’m currently just listening to Some Things Are Meant to Be from Little Women and that’s a duet…[Read more]

Okay dokey 😉
Have you noticed a pattern here? Problematic family member just wants to be forgiven but keeps getting rejected by the Pov character before finally making up and then redeeming themselves by dying for Justice?

That’s good 🙂
I have partly fixed it. So she goes to give Quillon his letter and leaves, but actually ends up coming back to warn them that the guards are coming and that’s when she gets killed. I’m thinking I could probably have her overhear something or find something out and so she goes to warn them and gets shot then. Does that…[Read more]

Yeah, me too. 😀 But I’m more likely to remember the title than the cover. But I am awful at remembering authors.
I am on Pinterest, and I think a lot of the other guys are too. I think them that have blogs have links on their blogs, like Audrey Caylin and Jane Maree do.

They have pretty unique covers too, don’t they?

*whips out Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, and Princess and the Pea retellings* Oh really?
They’re by Marissa Meyer. They’re sci-fi retellings of fairytales and they’re really good (my favourite YA series!) and for the most part clean too!

I’m so glad to hear that! In case you never noticed, I have an obsession with retellings. I just love them! Have you ever read the Lunar Chronicles?

That’s totally fine (you wouldn’t believe how far behind I am on your story!) April was just one of those crazy months, life and trying to write a whole novel means I’m behind on everything.
Zac is awesome. Full stop 😀
I hope to. I’m currently editing with the hope of starting to look for a publisher/agent next year. If I can’t…[Read more]
