Woah, that’s overboard, but it does sound very fun.
@Daeus I never do anything by halves. 😀

Yes it did. Hurray. @daeus.
I know it’s hard to read but, if you wouldn’t mind, I’d love it critiqued. (Maybe I should have made a new topic for this. Never mind What’s done, it done) 🙂 -

I have no idea if this will work….*tries anyway* -

@Daeus oooh, yes. Physical aspects of worldbuilding are crazy fun. All the different flora and fauna… I’m actually going to have to start filling a whole notebook with just made-up herbs and their medicinal/superstitious/mythical uses and history. 😀

@daeus ‘You were wise to seek help from the world most deadly weapon. It’s me.’ Golden star to whoever gets that quote. 🙂 I’m looking at you @bluejay.
A procedure…we-ell.
1. World-building. First thing you’re gonna do is make a map of the world you want. Then, you make a profile on each country including major cities and places that have to…[Read more] -

@bluejay I wrote 272 words. Not as much as I would have liked, but I did make it to chapter 16. Considering I started the novel only two months ago, that’s pretty good. *looks at chairs and phone, decides to be nice and not melt them*

@dragon-snapper I’m leaving now. Didn’t get much done in fifteen, just dabbled around with a poem. 🙂 How’d you go?

Josiah DeGraaf replied to the topic Alternative Historical Fiction Book Premise in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 10 years ago
@clairec: Tbh, that premise probably isn’t enticing enough to make me really want to read a story. I’m a bit confused about what the main plot is and how her service as a nurse connects to destroying the contents of a secret safe. Is this a spy thriller, action adventure, gritty war story, [insert-other-genres-here]? A good premise should be…[Read more]

Two more people to notify. (Somehow I missed them.) @rolena-hatfield and @anne-swiftblade. We are voting on a book if you want to chuck in your preference.

@Daeus That’s awesome! I’d definitely recommend Lord of the Rings. It’s some of the best fantasy out there. 🙂 Or, if you didn’t want to read the whole series as it’s pretty long, you could read The Hobbit. The Wingfeather Saga is also great fantasy.

@dragon-snapper Sure. That would be awesome. Now, to think of another visual poem to do…..

I doubt this is going to work, so I haven’t created a new topic for it. @daeus, I’m hoping it will do for you what your poem did for me. When I got the notification email, you poem was how it should be. I’d love this one to be critiqued but it doesn’t make much sense unless it is in the shape it should be. Please let me know if it works. :)…[Read more]
