@audrey-caylin Shoot. I forgot you couldn’t time-travel like me. February 24th and 25th will have to do then. 😉

Hey all,
First of all, I just want to say how awesome it has been to be interacting with you all over the forum over the past month or so. 😀 It’s been great to hear how helpful the lessons have been to you and I’ve enjoyed working with you all on our story’s themes. And on top of that, all your feedback in the Google surveys has been super…[Read more]

@jenali Those are good thoughts. Figuring out how characters would react to situations that aren’t in the book is a great way of exploring their more extreme emotions and getting a better grasp on their personality.

@jenali Good set of experiments there. They normally should be similar to the answers to your focusing question, so that’s no problem here! Great depiction of what it looks like when you try to endure without God’s strength. Like I mentioned with Audrey (see my comment to her post to read my full explanation), you’ll want to also consider the…[Read more]

@ethryndal Great thoughts, and I absolutely agree. Since James 1:2-4 is accurate for our Christian lives, we should be applying its principles to storytelling as well.

This should totally be a children’s book. With the right illustrations it would be perfect. I love it. As Emma pointed out, a few errors as far as punctuation and spelling, but otherwise it’s lovely. Good work, @R-J-Wordsmith.

@R-J-Wordsmith Ooh, I like that. It’s nicely short, but you still made it interesting and fit the story in.
*sniff*
I’m not sure I caught the meaning of the ‘condemned’ sign though; she died, but I don’t know any better than the mailbox what the sign means. 😛
Also I noticed a few missed words and letters, and punctuation errors—several…[Read more] -

@Rachelle yes, I love poetry. 😉 I wouldn’t consider myself A POET but I love poetry. One of my very favorites of Tolkien’s… actually I can’t pick a favorite. I love them all. XD
As for favorite movies, um… probably LotR, Rigoletto, Henry V, Little Dorrit, Monsters Inc., Pride & Prejudice, Captain America: The First Avenger, and a lot of…[Read more] -

@Dragon-Snapper more recently being afraid that I’ve taken on more than I can handle and will ruin something good with my inexperience. But the comfort is, I can only get better from here, and the harder I try, the more I learn. 😉
