Thanks for the input everyone! It looks like the best option is going to be February 24th from 3-4 PM EST, so we’re going to be scheduling the Q&A for that. I’ll be sending out an email the day before with a webinar link, and will also make sure to post a link in this thread! Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible there. 🙂
And to…[Read more]

@r-j-wordsmith *shudders* I’d melt if my book was hidden beneath others.
@kate-flournoy Indeed. I’ve been trying for months to regain what I had been able to do before, write what I love, but I’ve been so caught up in trying to make it world-worthy that I’ve forgotten what I’m actually doing. I read through my old work, and in comparing it to…[Read more] -

Okay! I think I finally got some stuff organized here. 😀
1. Harold enters a treacherous swamp to save Denholm, who does not seem to grasp the gravity of the situation.
Mkay, so I finally got Harold’s EIL somewhat figured out.
E.I.L.: that the world is worth being a part of because man, deep down, is basically good. (Note: Harold is a c…[Read more] -

@Rachelle Ah, and you know Pride and Predjudice too, I see. 😉 (I think that’s the reference at least…)
I do piano too, and violin. What, 2 movies and the Broadway musical?! You’re further along in that department than I am (yet. That must change.). Yes, it’s a very big book, but so worth it.
@Ethryndal You need support, eh? Poor thing. Is it…[Read more]

@rachelle Welcome to the land of the pen! Others may have beat me to it, but I never mind that to much. Ahem, welcome to the Bestistest place on the internets! 😛
Three novels! Woof…I’ve only written one, though I have written a half of another and enough one-page beginnings to make five chapters of beginnings. 😀
Again, welcome! -

That’s awesome @Vanna! Perfect use of foil characters and thematic contrasts. *thumbs up* Sounds like you absolutely nailed a good (skillful rather 😉 ) love triangle.

What are you trying to do? Make me cry my eyes out??? *blows nose and wipes away tears*
This is so simple but beautifully written. I did notice some spelling and punctation errors, but other than that, it’s really good. I see now from your post above what the “Condemned” sign means, but maybe you could make that a little clearer.…[Read more] -

@rachelle If you can do one hour per day, I think that’s an awesome pace to keep up consistently! A large part of how much time you should spend depends on other activities; if you’re able to spend more time on your writing, that will of course help out a lot, but sometimes it’s difficult to even find even that much time. I have the same goal of…[Read more]

@Aratrea Monday, Feb. 27th at 7-8 pm EST is the only one that’ll work for me. This sounds super exciting and I’d love to do it, but if I’m out-voted don’t worry about leaving me out of the rotation. 😉

Saturday, February 25th would work best for me, though I should be able to be there on the other dates if they get picked. And I should be to lesson 8 by that time. 🙂

Honestly, due to family matters, I haven’t been working on the Theme Mastery course lately and I’ve only got as far as the fourth lesson, so I’ll leave it up to the rest of you to choose a time and date.
I’ll try to catch up a little before then. 🙂

@ethryndal Looks good then. Two recommendations. The first would be to make sure that she’s being shown her resolution paradigm that God gives people worth all throughout the character arc even though she won’t accept it till the end, just to make sure it doesn’t come from out of left-field but flows naturally from the story. The second would be…[Read more]
