@aratrea Yes, it’s for a positive character arc for this one character. There is a second book as well, so I have to keep that in mind…by that I mean he uses it negatively in the first book and positively in the second.

@aratrea Yay! As I go, I am tying everything together with the plot, so that the theme and pride within this particular character is running along with everything else. I am so excited with all this! Thank you!

@dragon-snapper Good. I like those experiments. My one suggestion would be to include some physical consequences for those experiments along with the psychological experiments. I’m copy-pasting what I said to Audrey on this:
“One thing you may want to begin thinking about if you haven’t already, is how that’s going to outwardly manifest in you…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper Good set of focusing questions and answers there. I like the diversity of answers. I presume you’re defining pride slightly-differently than most definitions in order to defend a positive use of it?

@Rachelle WOW. Her dress. How did you make it look like textured fabric??? Textures are the one thing I always struggled with. Good job. That’s… wow. Good job. 😀

@Rachelle That comics one is so adorable! I can’t see the other one very well because of the laptop monitor, but it looks good. And I can judge from the others’ reactions. 😛
You’re really good at this.@Ethryndal I’ll have you know, I care about folding dishcloths neatly. *severe glare*
I can’t stand messy folding, even for just kitchen towels. -

Thanks for the questions @audrey-caylin and @hope! I’ll be sure to address them at today’s meeting.
Also, everyone should have gotten the link in your email, but just in case anyone missed it, the Q&A will be going live at kingdompen.org/theme-mastery-qa

@Winter-Rose Yeah, this is great.
And the moral to THAT is—don’t leave your iphones lying around!!
Just kidding. 😉Aaaand what some of the others said…still some punctuation and spelling errors and stuff; but you said you’ll be takin’ another look.
Nice job.

Oh, and I meant I’d be praying too. My apologies, I see that could be taken more than one way. 😛

@Ethryndal I SO feel you about the political discussion. Political discussion going on in the middle of anything else is bad for concentration. 😛
And I know. It’s wonderful.

@perfectfifths @daeus @ingridrd This is what grammarbook.com says. Exact quote:
Rule 2b. Do not capitalize quoted material that continues a sentence.
Example: Lamarr said that the case was “far from over” and that “we will win.” -

@daeus
I believe you have it written correctly. This has always been a point of confusion for me too, but I’m fairly certain that the dialogue should be capitalized and surrounded with quotations. 🙂 -

Love it, @winter-rose ! Who knew “the story behind the sparkly” could be so entertaining? 😀 🙂
There’s not much to criticise, but here are three things I noticed:
“waved” should be changed to “wave.”
The spelling of “Brittney” is still inconsistent. Is it going to be “Brittney” or “Britney”?
Lastly, his mom’s advice at the end confused me.…[Read more]
