@skredder I told you before that I thought the idea was a good one. 🙂 The opening you posted sounds great, except for the fact that in the very first couple of sentences I had to read them several times before I figured out who was talking. I thought the little six-year-old girl was the one who had been gone, which obviously wouldn’t make s…[Read more]

Hey @skredder! Sounds like an intriguing idea you’ve got here! I’d tell you to go for it, but it looks like you’ve already got all the help you’ll need. 😉

@skredder If you haven’t checked out the Writers’ Corner yet, you should do it! Kinda get a feel about what kind of topic this is, ya know.

@skredder @jenwriter17 @sam-kowal @supermonkey42
Wait, hang on, this isn’t what I meant, actually. You know in the Writers Corner, you sign in when you’re currently writing and chat with others? That’s what this is. You sign in, talk about what you’re currently reading at that moment, talk about life, etc.
Sorry!

@skredder XD Nice. That sounds like something I would dive into eagerly, and then…slowly…get tired…of.
@jenwriter17 That is super cool! XD I would love to have gone to church with an author, just because of all the writing questions I could have asked in the parking lot. I haven’t heard of Merlin’s Blade, but I think I’ll go look it up 😉

@skredder Sounds… informative. 🙂 I was recently reading about the rise of capitalism in the industrial revolution, and it was interesting to see how it evolved into its current form.

@skredder Haha, thanks! I’m glad you liked it!
Do you think you could tell me (or show me) where you were confused about who was talking? Feel free to point them out in comments and I’ll change them! Or just tell me here X)

Hey guys! So I’m going to reuse an OLD thread and post my updated story snippet for you guys to critique. To make it clear, this is my Doctor Who fan novella. You don’t have to be a Whovian to read it. I’m excited about it because I recently started changing it to first person instead of third. Here is what I have so far!

Hi, all! I know I kinda recently created a new topic asking y’all the cliches of sci-fi, but this topic is a little different. I’m thinking of writing a dystopian novel. I know this genre can be pretty heavy on the cliches, so my questions is ‘what are the cliches of this genre?’
I know the whole oppressive government thing is kinda cliche, and I…[Read more]

Rochellaine replied to the topic Would You Rather Character Edition in the forum Characters 8 years, 3 months ago
@skredder That’s actually a realistic question for Chara, because she gets disoriented very easily. 🙂 She would probably rather know where she is in a place where she can’t speak the language, because she can take care of herself as long as she doesn’t get disoriented.
I actually saw a really cool episode of an anthology show from the 1950s…[Read more]
