@dekreel Yep, still here. Don’t know for how much longer though. I have written about 470 words on this short story and it’s flowing so much better now!

@seekjustice So, I am working on Theresa, it’s just going very, very slowly. Unfortunately, I can’t get you an ETA, but I think it’s gonna be pretty good. I’m hoping so at least, since I am experimenting with it a wee bit. But, yeah, I am working on her. 🙂

@dekreel I think easter egg is the correct term. I’m having a slightly hard time getting the flow going, but it is helping me figure out the MC’s relationship with another character and her personality a bit.

@dekreel I’m working on a short story based on my story Clouded Fury. It may or may not find its way into the book. Haven’t decided yet.
How’s the KPA going?

@perfectfifths Wow! First off those eyes are really great! You did the Voltron eyes excellently! Those anime characters are too cute! I especially love the girl on the couch! 🙂

You know you’re a writer when a new character demands a sequel before the first one is even written.

@valtmy Love triangles, brooding and moody characters, too timid love interests, possessive behavior, stalkery behavior, yandere. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

@alia I’m sorry to hear that. I will be praying for them.
@daughteroftheking Oh, man, that sounds painful. I’m praying for you.
I do have a prayer request. The older brother of a friend of mine was on a mission trip in Guatemala, and while there, witches put a bounty on his head. People tried three times to kill him. By the grace of God he…[Read more]

Skredder replied to the topic Questions about writing a short story in the forum Plotting 8 years, 2 months ago
@livgiordano Maybe I can offer a wee bit of advice. In my experience in writing short stories, they are too short for a full character arc. If you try to do a full arc in such a short time you have to eliminate great parts of the story. Instead, I see short stories as just a snippet of the overall arc. To me they tend to focus more on one aspect…[Read more]

@kballen This is pretty funny! I can imagine Harold having an evil smile. As far as wrapping up the ending, maybe you could describe the running away a little more.

Skredder replied to the topic First/Third person and switching POVs in the forum Plotting 8 years, 2 months ago
@jenwriter17 I think it could work as long as there is a good reason from the reader’s view for a change in first person to third person, and a clear separation in the change from one to another to clear up any confusion. Other than that, I think it could work well and be kinda cool.

@jenwriter17 There is nothing shameful about having to use reference photos. Even the best artists out there use some kind of reference, be it photos or live models.
For some reason, though, I tend to have more trouble drawing chibis than I do regular manga style drawings. There’s just something about the proportions of the heads that I have…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Isn’t that from Avengers? Cap says it to Black Widow before jumping out of a jet, right?
How about: “Onion-sauce! Onion-sauce!”

@jenwriter17 This is pretty cool.
You know you’re a bookworm when you finish a book at 6 in the morning because you couldn’t put the book down.
You know you’re a bookworm when you’re sad the story’s over, because now you have to say goodbye.
