@sierra-r wow, that’s great!!! Half of Luke, that’s a treasure.
During the summer, for the Bible Bee, each category Primary (age 7-10,) Junior (age 11-14) and Senior (age 15-18) memorize about 100 verses and study their discovery journal. At the end of the summer they all take a test and the top 120 to qualify for each category move up to the…[Read more]

@Northerner I have no idea where my first post went. Here. Have it again.
Okay guys.
@Hope gave me a book with three of G.K. Chesterton’s novels in it as an early birthday present, and though I have only read one of them so far it completely blew my mind.
It was The Ball and the Cross.Has anyone else read it? If so, can we please discuss how…[Read more]

Fall and Winter months are over, and that’s crazy, but its true. Just yesterday I made the Fall and Winter Goals topic. Or maybe that wasn’t yesterday, but either way, it feels like that.
Well, I was able to complete my goal last time, finishing my novel before the appointed time, and since it worked so nicely last time, I figured I’d make…[Read more] -

Thank you so much, @sierra-r! Wow, those pictures are absolutely beautiful! I’m inspired. I think your camera is two models newer than mine, and I love the way they look. 😀 And the way you captured the sunlight is really neat. 😀

@sierra-r Don’t get me started on the Hobbit. Just don’t. That movie series crashed like a twenty-year old laptop. Those movies shouldn’t have been made. Let me just say that the romance between Tauriel and Kili . . . that was tacked on tension. It’s a master class on how to not do romance.
As for the Phantom? Girl, that’s my favorite musical!…[Read more]

@sierra-r Thank you! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed exploring the Enneagram a bit. You’ve read all the Sherlocks? Awesome! I will keep a special eye out for the Dying Detective.

@Sierra-R To be perfectly honest, I don’t really hate it as much as I sound. There’s just some very twisted part of my nature that appreciates bashing things. 😛 I’m working on it.

@Sierra-R And this is why most people don’t understand Shakespeare. 🙂

Thanks, @sierra-r , @emma-flournoy , @winter-rose , @ethryndal , @jess and @clairec . Your prayers mean so much to me.
Also, I just decided that I’m going to play my guitar at his funeral on Saturday, and I’m pretty nervous because I’m a beginner and I’ve never done anything like this before, so if you could pray that I’ll have courage and play…[Read more]

@sierra-r I can’t…when and who was it from?
Terpischorean… I’m going to have to use that some day. 😀
Here are some more.
Legerdemain: trickery
Imbroglio: a complicated situation (or, for less formal matters, brouhaha 😛 I love that word)
Pastiche: a work that imitates or is made of pieces of other works
And I found this one very…[Read more]

@Sierra-R If it’s any consolation, I used to be crazy about Kili and Tauriel myself. (Kind of secretly, but still. 😛 ) Even now I don’t despise it with everything in me…I just think it’s a little silly and gets in the way of other relationships (even though I still like some of the scenes). *shrug* But I think no less of you, at any rate. 😉

@sierra-r I took a look at that list. I was surprised to find that tricorn was on it.
Woah! Even more interestingly, there’s that annoying red squiggly line beneath it that says it’s misspelled. -

By ye olde order of the Snapping Dragon de Pen Kingdom, there shall hence be a new order, a challenge of lances and swords and weapons of great valour. *peasants yawn* All ye, I bore ye, but not so anymore!

@Sierra-R To be fair, I really do like that Sappy Music, so you can come out from under the bed and I’ll try not to bash it TOO much while in ear-shot. 😉
@Emma-Flournoy But it’s so much fun to hate and rant…*puppy eyes* Though I will admit, the Hobbit brings us Bilbo. And he’s worth every cheesy line Tauriel ever said.
