*stares pensively at screen* I meant: “Even in PAST TENSE narratives…”
*mutters incoherently* Third person narratives…what in the world, Gracie… -

@Daeus I likey. *double thumbs up*
As far as the diary debate-thingy…If it will just be a short story or a novella, I say keep the diary format. But as a reader, I would feel a little weird reading something in that format for a full-length novel. It kinda disconnects me in a way. Even in third person narratives, you can reach this point where…[Read more]

@Daeus Keep writing it, and if it still feels worthless, stop. 😛 As of right now though, it is pretty cool. His POV is intriguing. I think mostly only writers would understand—at least really GET—a story like this though, not regular readers…

@Dekreel I’ve only seen seasons 2, 3, and half of season 4 of the reboot, so I’ve only ever known Ten. XD I’ll let you know which is my favorite though once I meet some more. 😛 This also means I haven’t seen any of the older seasons. Where do you watch them typically? To be honest, I wasn’t sure if it was even possible to watch the older ones.…[Read more]

@Daeus Soooooo, funny thing. XD We actually had to cancel the camping trip because the weather hereabouts is icky, so if you still need another beta reader, I’m available. If you have enough though, no problem. 😉

@Daeus This is the 3rd Person thingy, right? But regardless, yup. It might be closer to two weeks depending on what comes up though. Me and my notorious slow reading. :/

I love Audiomachine music. @emily TREE OF LIFE!!! *dies* So beautiful!
Although I think one song that I really think is inspiring is by Enya, The River Sings. I love that one…very hero-returns-from-journey-ish.
For my upcoming WIP, I find that Stained Glass by Jon Guerra is perfect. It’s basically for his character arc.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 good thoughts. I played around a lot with government and where it fits in, but it was so equally part of all four of the pillars I couldn’t bring myself to make it its own separate one. 😛
It’s probably the most perfect manifestation of a country’s EiL within itself, whereas Economy is a further exploration of that outside of…[Read more] -

@epicaddie2 Ooooh I was talking about this a while back… let me go copy and paste my emails… XD
It’s a fairly simple thing, but once you delve into it there’s a lot to work with.
Basically, I came up with four pillars I think every culture is built on.1. History
2. Religion
3. Geography
4. EconomyIn that order. History and Religion…

@Daeus Ergh! I JUST remembered that I leave Friday for a camping trip. 😕 (Man, how in the world did I forget that?!) I’ll be gone for a couple days so I wouldn’t be able to make the deadline.
I’m afraid I must withdraw my offer. 😔
But best of luck to you with the story! -

@dekreel Welcome! I’m glad you finally made your way to the forum. It’s a cool place. Elizabeth was so nice to summon me over here because I too am a fan of Wingfeather. Have you read The Wingfeather Tales? That’s probably my favorite because almost all of my favorite authors are in one place. Have you read any of Andrew Peterson’s brother’s or…[Read more]
