I have so many characters demanding to have ‘yeon’ in their names so I’ve given up on that one already.
Is your dad’s friend’s surname Kim by any chance? (cos that is like the most common surname among Koreans and I remember including a very small joke about that somewhere)

Lol so the problematic one is my MC’s which is the most important one??
Korean names can often look and sound very similar to each other because there are phonetic vowels that are very often used so sometimes figuring out what to name a character is a trial by itself. 😛

Haha it’s that bad?
Oh well. Nothing I can do about the language. But I made sure most of my main characters have names that start with different letters. 😛

You don’t need to be able to pronounce it to type it 😛

Sorry but the work here is very sensitive so I can’t share much (man I’m sounding really suspicious, aren’t I?).
But I can tell you that it’s related to finance. I’ll leave the rest to your imagination. 😉

@seekjustice, it truly is. the plot was really good and didn’t need all that extra junk. The movie is good, but it does have the occasional word here and there. I’m not sure which ones or how many as it has been a few years since I last watched it. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone under 10, and even then I would say watch with caution.
The only…[Read more]

@seekjustice, dang, to re-feel everything like it was the first time. I really wish I could do that.
Well, at least we only gave you one name

@seekjustice, I don’t recommend it. I read it when I was going through a stage where I was completely running from God, and that is the only reason I didn’t put it down. The language in it is disgusting, especially since they have kids say the words. The movie is much better because it sticks fairly close to the story line, minus a few things, but…[Read more]

@seekjustice I’m not sure whether that’s a good or a bad thing… 😛 Does that mean you just don’t remember spoilers people tell you, or does it mean you can’t discuss books after you read them…? 😛
@alia I like to write sci-fi when I don’t have to do much research. 😉 I love researching history, and everyday – or non-everyday – things, but I…[Read more]

@rochellaine, I love the princess bride. And all the quotes are perfect for everyday use.
I’d like to see what I do with it too, I have my outline but I have no clue if I can even write sci fi.
Spoilers such as *cough* Ashley? *cough*
@seekjustice, Well, it was partially based of Ender’s Game. plus Eye of Minds and Robot Wars/Mars…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh no! If you read our conversation…wow, that contained MAJOR spoilers!! 😛 Hopefully you can still enjoy the books. 😛

@seekjustice Haha, yes! 😛 By the way, speaking of Alia’s story, you should definitely read the Mars Diaries by Sigmund Brouwer. Seriously. They’re amazing. 😀
@alia 😉 You like The Princess Bride?
I’m very interested in how you make your new story different from Brouwer’s. I love the premise, because of course I love his books and I lov…[Read more]

@seekjustice, I misread what you asked….oops
It’s a new story that I’ve had in my head for a while. Here’s what I told @rochellaine:
Its a sci-fi/dystopian story. The world has been at war for several decades. One of the groups goes around secretly testing kids and then kidnapping the smart ones at 9 to fight as their soldiers. At first the…

@rochellaine, me too!
@seekjustice, Its going pretty well. I’m almost done with the basic outline, so once I’m done with that I have to research the psychological effects of human isolation on children. know anything on that?

@seekjustice Oh, oh! I scrolled up a bit and saw the end of your long post to @catwing where you said “to sum up.” Immediately, this flashed into my brain:

Hey. Really wish I can join but I’ll be working now. Thankfully there’s nothing on my plate yet since I’m new and I might be able to pop in during lunch. So just letting you know that I’ll still be stalking around. 😛
