Book Length

I wrote 600 words, but spent a while working on plot too, so overall I was pretty productive. How’d you go?

@seekjustice, I’m working on my first draft of chapter 2 of my novel. I’m trying to get it into my mind to save the editing for later and just write. 😛

For the beginning of your book you need a hook. Showing that your character is deaf seemed like a good hook.
The F.B.Eye show is pretty intresting. It’s an older show so I don’t know if you can find it. She is an F.B.I. Agent that is deaf. But she can read lips.

@seekjustice How about something that say he’s deaf?
He could be watching a movie. He can’t hear it so he has to lip-read. And when they turn away he has to guess what they are saying.
Sign-language or lip reading class.
Looking for a service dog.
Someone is talking, but they turn away and he can’t hear them, so he has to ask them to turn back…[Read more]

@seekjustice *nods* That can be tough. Have you ask some one you know for some advice or is your book more secretive? That helped me.
