@catwing I just started reading Story Thieves, I didn’t realize he had others books before I bought this one, but I can see the references to Huat in the first book.
@seekjustice I liked Little Women up until Jo said no to Laurie, the rest of the book is fine in my opinion but it could have been better, Bhear is a nice character though it was…[Read more]

Okay, peeps, how’s this?
It is a well-accepted fact in the province of Reed that Fairy Godmothers do exist. You might even have one, if you meet all the requirements to be a Distressed Personage, or your father pays enough money. And if you’re lucky — really, truly lucky — you might be one of those rare few who are chosen at random to recei…[Read more]

@daeus Hm, it’s a bit long. I’ll try to see if I can cut a couple parts out of it later….
@seekjustice Mm. I agree. It’s kinda hard though because throughout the battle I don’t just focus on one character, it’s more like I keep switching to different people throughout it. Plus, the “main” character that I focus mostly on is kinda an awkward…[Read more]

@waterlily Hmmm… Good question. Is this for the sci-fi NaNo you were talking about? 🙂
If you do first person, then you can basically get a full-on view of what the character is thinking. So you’re more inside his/her head, seeing what (s)he is seeing, feeling what (s)he is feeling. But that also means that the movement of the reader is…[Read more]

@seekjustice A fact for which you’ll do well to remember. *snobby elven sniff*

@Seekjustice I have literally no clue what this conversation is about, but I have been summoned from the great depths of the… deep… and I feel it my duty to make my opinions on this subject clear:
Legolas is awesome.
Elves, in general, are awesome.
That is the beginning and end of the discussion. Thus says the official KP elf.

@seekjustice, *gets into a defensive stance while clenching fists*
-Legolas is so perfect and insufferable…how so?
-Plus I hate his hair…his Elf hair? All Tolkien Elfs have that hair.
-Does he contribute anything to the plot? Not particularly…What? What do you call everything he did? Without him Aragorn wouldn’t have done half the…[Read more]

@0-0enyali0-0 Oooh! That’s a good question! Others might have better answers than me, but let me try…
So it sounds to me like you’re describing every detail of what’s going on in the battle by itself. That tends to sound like a school lecture if you describe a dramatic scene from the outside without looking at how the characters are feeling…[Read more]

@emily @seekjustice 😀 thanks, *STAN* appreciates you explaining
😀 It is really cool to think about all the other people in the Writer’s Corner actually writing at the same time as you.
Even Stan, who is dipping his tongue in ink over here and trying to lick a story onto the page… UGH I can’t look

Hey y’all! I am fairly new to the writer’s corner. What happens here? Is it basically where you chat with fellow writers while you’re writing?
Oh, and @catwing, what on Taranar is a “Word War?”
Nobody answered, so I tagged a bit 😉

@seekjustice, you’re right, Sam is awesome…but Frodo??? I don’t think so. The only reason Frodo was there was because Sam needed a supporting character. In both the books and movies Frodo is an annoying wimp.
