Oh yes, I’m back. I was just reading about contemporary Christian music though and got distracted.

Well, I’ve heard a lot of reasons why Christians shouldn’t listen to it, but I’ve never heard anything like that before.
I’m eating lunch, actually.

Fascinating! I didn’t even know people studied this sort of thing. Unfortunately, my knowledge of music basically extends to “this sounds nice, this doesn’t” so I don’t really understand all about chord progressions and such (I wouldn’t know a particular chord if it bit me). But still, its very interesting.

That’s really interesting! What were the results of his study? (as in, why particularly do you steer clear of Christian contemporary music?) I don’t usually listen to it, for the simple fact that most of it is extremely unoriginal (come on people, we are worshipping and singing about the Creator of the Universe! Endless repetition of…[Read more]

I broke my habit of listening to musicals and I was actually listening to some contemporary Christian music. Tenth Avenue North, in case you were wondering. 😀 Its not too bad.
Well the Red Baron definitely was pretty scary, I would have been scared of him. But, in the end, he was just a very young man who needed God and had a…[Read more]

I think I like ‘What a Comforting Thing to Know’ best, just because its funny, but I also like…um, what’s it called. ‘Tell Him Anything’? and I do like “Position and Positioning’, even though it gets on your nerves about two minutes in 😀
Uh, probably you haven’t. Its this oneÂ
Well, originally I set it at 30hrs, but I’m…[Read more]

I haven’t listened to that in ages! I feel I need to rectify that at the next given opportunity.
Currently I’m proofing the short story version and another little story of mine which is being published in a book. (eep!!!)
And yep, I’m doing it, but I’m working on a few short stories for competitions and I’m setting my goal quite…[Read more]

Sorry, I just was doing some cleaning, I’m having my quiet time now, but I’ll probably be on later.
The editing isn’t going as fast as I’d like, but I’m getting there. 🙂

Oh, righto 😛
Well, yes, it is cool…especially in stories. very useful 😀
Well, by synopsis, I usually just scribble a sentence which will help me to remember it, or a quote or something. But it is annoying when you don’t write it down and you know you had a brilliant idea…but you can’t remember what it was. 😛

Eavesdropping is always good in those situations 😛
occasionally I write scenes beforehand, but usually I just write a synopsis of the scene and then stick them together like puzzle pieces 😛

Yeah, I did. But I think it worked okay, and like you said, it wasn’t for long.
And that would be a bit weird. So either you’d have to leave that scene out or put some more scenes in his pov beforehand.

I used to write books with heaps of povs as well, but lately I’ve had to limit myself to about two, because otherwise I get overwhelmed. Two’s my favourite though, enough variation without being overwhelming. I think you could try doing some scenes from Derek’s pov, but it would be completely fine if you just did it exclusively with…[Read more]

Definitely 🙂
It depends…some characters are so self-centred they want all the povs, some don’t. I feel like Chara wouldn’t mind. In fact, I think she’d be more than happy to share with Derek.

It took me quite a while to really immerse myself in the style of blogging as well, its kind of different to other kinds of writing.
😛 Have fun with that!

No that’s fine! I just posted it because Rochellaine wanted to read it. I won’t be looking for beta readers until its done, and you’re welcome to read it then. Of course, if you don’t want to read it again, you don’t have to 😉
