I’d gone walking anyway and took cute photos of kangaroos to show you all when I come to America 😛
That’s why I said it would be disturbing 😀
No worries. I’m the same honestly.

😛 A disembowelled voice would be quite disturbing. I’m well. I’m just reading through some readers comments…
Speaking of…I don’t mean to be annoying…but how’s that questionnaire going?

Well, there’s the kookaburra song. There’s Ten White Boomers, an Australian Twelve days of Christmas, Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport (that’s a nonsense song if there ever was one) and the Baby Bumblebee song.
😛 Lovely song about the French Revolution there 😀

@Rochellaine I’m here. Reading up on RSI at the moment trying to a) get rid of the RSI in my wrist and b) stop it from coming back, especially during NaNo.
Are you planning on trying NaNo this year?

Hey, what about Patricia St John. Have you read any of her books? I imagine you have.
I did notice a lot of parallels in the Camelot book to Lord of the Rings, but I hadn’t realised that it was meant to be a parody.
Several years ago I was in a production of Alice in Wonderland and we had a dance off with the tap dancers to see who…[Read more]

Blue and yellow striped dragon sounds familiar but I can’t think what series that is.
I’ve read parts of both the Kingdom series and The Seven Sleepers but I didn’t particularly like either of them 😛
I love Riverdance. I have the CD and I really enjoyed it when my dance teacher and her niece (who was the one giving the Irish…[Read more]

Ah, fair enough. Those sort of things don’t bother me as much so I guess I’d never noticed it.
What about Edith Nesbitt?
I like watching Irish dancing. I took semi-official classes last year and it was really, really hard. I also like listening to the music.
Though I’ve only seen modern Irish and I haven’t seen any older stuff.

Alcott never struck me as particularly feminist. What makes you say that?
Have you ever read any Rosemary Sutcliff? I’m not sure whether you’d like them or not, but I love her stories.
I don’t know imagine you’d like many of the myriad of fantasy stories I consume. Or most of Charles Dickens. Have you ever read Elizabeth Gaskall?…[Read more]

You didn’t tag me so I didn’t realise you responded till just then.
I have explained before that I was never much into girl books. And while I liked Anne of Green Gables, I never adored it.
Mary thinks Dickon is magic, but as far as I know there’s no charms, I’m almost at the end.
I love Little Women! It’s one of my favourite…[Read more]

I read–or rather my mum read to me–Heidi many years ago. I don’t remember being particularly impressed by it and I kind of lumped it under Pollyanna/Anne of Green Gables/Elsie Dinsmore/What Katy Did and all the other girl books I didn’t like, but I should definitely try it again.
And yes, I’m currently reading it. (and referring…[Read more]

@xonos-darkgrate Writer’s Corner is a free-for-all where we fangirl(boy) over things and argue quite a lot, usually over topics that have nothing to do with writing.
That’s good. Well, I’m not writing anything yet…but hopefully I will be soon.

SeekJustice replied to the topic Swear Words In Stories? in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 2 months ago
I honestly think this is a matter for your conscience. Some Christians feel comfortable writing/reading books with swearing, others don’t. I personally choose not to add in curse words because I just don’t see the point. I think it also depends on who you’re writing for. Middle grade, for example, I don’t think should ever have…[Read more]
