No. I have never had watermelon on pizza. And I never intend to. It sounds (at the risk of being offensive) completely revolting. I am willing to try many culinary things, but watermelon pizza is not one of them.

I do read some fantasy, though not much. Do you have a favorite fantasy book/series? I think it might be fun to try reading other genres.

My favorite breed of dog is probably Australian-Cattle-Dog-Mix because that’s what my dog is, so of course it’s the best kind of dog ever and I’m totally not biased. I also like Golden Retri…[Read more]

I do like recommendations. They broaden my reading spectrum.

I don’t have any specific authors to suggest for good reveals, but if you’re interested in reading more mysteries, there are a few series I’ve read that I liked (as I said, if you’re interested).

Oooo cool! I’ve always thought that carving things looked like fun, except knifes are involved. XD

It is fun, but I understand your caution of sharp bladed objects. However on my latest wax project (carving a spiral out of a white, unscented candle and filling it with a colored, scented, wax melt) the main implement I’ve been u…[Read more]

Are you a plotter, a pantser, or a tweener?

I think I’m between plotter and pantser. For all the main stories that I’ve actually made any progress on, I’ve started with a loose outline and intention to write and then begun to flesh out the MC/MCs and worked from there.

I have read all 8 Anne of Green Gables books, and I think the second one might be my favorite, though that may in part be because in all the movie adaptations I’ve seen they gloss over that part of Anne’s life.

I’ve not read the Little Women books, but I’ve heard a lot about them and they’ve been on my list to read for a while.

I have read some Agatha Christie, but not a great deal.

Answers to your other random questions:

    1. Depends on the season. In fall, I usually go hot apple cider; In winter, hot cocoa; Most of the rest of the time, I have milk with breakfast and iced sweet tea (a delicacy in the American South) with lunch and dinner.

Nerd, you say? I know the dictionary definitions of both the word ‘Nerd’ and the word ‘Geek’, which probably qualifies me as a nerd (as opposed to a geek), though I have been mislabeled ‘Smart-Alec’ before.

I love your user name. It’s so cheerful! 🙂

I’m glad you like it! It (almost) shares the name of a song (Sara smile) that I like the tune of , but don’t know many words to.

My favorite day of the week is either Friday (I don’t make dinner Fridays), or Saturday (I make my weekly call to my grandparents Saturdays)

I, also am a homeschooler with little-to-no drawing talent! And I like dogs, who doesn’t (rhetorical question)!?

    1. My favorite book series is unquestionably Anne of Green Gables.
    2. I normally like to write once or twice a week.
    3. I don’t play any sports, but I like doing crafts! Especially things like origami and carving. I have…

@80strish  Don’t I know you from somewhere? School, perhaps?

My favorite time period is either the 1830s or the 1890s; It’s so hard to pick!

My favorite kind of music is probably brass music, because I play a brass instrument, but I also like classical.

I’m Homeschooled too! As for my answers:

    1. Favorite ice cream flavor: Chocolate (I suppose I’m somewhat boring in that regard… though I did try coffee ice cream at one point and liked it)
    2. Current WIP: It’s a Sci-Fi story (or supposed to be, I’m struggling to implement the sci-fi bit) with a kid who… does something with…

Hello! I just joined the forum. I am happy to be here, and excited to converse with other writers! My favorite genres are historical fiction and mysteries, or historically set mysteries. I’ve heard it said that lots of people ask questions, so I’m curious to see what you want to know! Which may be nothing, but it can’t hurt to be optimistic!
