@Daeus Neato. I really liked Sworn to Vengeance too, but I know what you’re saying.
Dire Recompense is sure nicely original.

(Really late in the conversation, sorry. I just joined KP)
The onky book I’ve fully finished is set in 1192 England! I’m a big fan of that timeframe as well. -

@ethryndal ,
Thank you for the warning! 🙂
Well, I guess I’d put myself in YA general fiction. How about you? -

@Anne-Swiftblade, Yes! Puddleglumers unite. 😉
Oh, those places sound amazing as well. Well, I’d love to go skydiving, bunjie-jumping, anything like that. Hiking crazy places… anything thrilling in the outdoors. -

@Daeus I meant the whole cover, though if you lighten that up you might have to lighten him up a little too. I love his outfit though, and I don’t think the stern look is bad, unless he’s not a very hard character. (I got the impression he was. 😉 )
And I think changing the scarlet font would help a lot. I guess, red and black…that color combo…[Read more] -

@Daeus I think it could be a little less dark; the over all color. Edwin is supposed to look a tad shady though, isn’t he?
But the over all black impression does make it seem a little…modernish and murderish? It makes it look less like a Dickensy historical fiction to me, but that’s what I get the impression it’s supposed to be more like.

Sarah,
I totally agree. VA is beautiful! I picked Iceland because it has spectacular views. Beautiful hills, tall mountains, blue waters… it’s absolutely gorgeous. You should look at some pictures. And it’s not heavily populated. Just little quant towns. -

Hi Kate! I do apologize, my mother’s name is not Helen. Thank you for making me feel very welcome!
I actually have yet to write a fantasy book. I have finished one book so far (100,000 words) and “in the middle” of several more, but none are fantasy. Though I do intend to write one.
My favorite thing about writing is probably the fact that I…[Read more] -

Hi Gabrielle,
Good question. I guess I would be… well, Puddleglum is a favorite. And my family used to call me that because I have flat feet (sorry, weirdness coming through) So I would pick him. He is faithful, steadfast and funny, though he doesn’t try to be. Who/what would you be?
I have been writing since I was 7, but the first “real” book…[Read more] -

Wow! I don’t have enough time to practice more than one instrument. 😛 For editing a post, you have something like fifteen minutes or under another post on the same thread is put up. The “edit” button is in the upper right hand corner of the post. 🙂
Okay. Thank you!
Yeah, finding time for them all is hard. But I am self taught, so I don’t have a specific time for lessons or anything.
