Hey, anyone want to get distracted with me? 😎
(Just kidding, you don’t have to get distracted, exactly. . . If you can help it.)

@rochellaine You had asked me a few months ago if I had read Twice Freed. I read it about a week ago, and liked it. (Although I still like my Onesimus better. 😉 )
I’ve never read the book Treasures of the Snow, but I have seen the movie.

@seekjustice I have! I like Treasures of the Snow and Twice Freed. Which ones are your favorites?
I don’t know if they’re meant to be parodies or just references, but each book does seem to have a themed connection to some big well-known tale. I’ve never read the Lord of the Rings books, so I wouldn’t have recognized that one. There were a c…[Read more]

Hey, what about Patricia St John. Have you read any of her books? I imagine you have.
I did notice a lot of parallels in the Camelot book to Lord of the Rings, but I hadn’t realised that it was meant to be a parody.
Several years ago I was in a production of Alice in Wonderland and we had a dance off with the tap dancers to see who…[Read more]

@seekjustice Well, I believe they’re aimed toward younger kids. They’re not amazing, but they’re cute. The Seven Sleepers series is really confusing and badly organized, but makes more sense once you notice that each book is a parody of some legend or famous story, including Narnia, Atlantis, Star Trek, and others.
My favorite part of R…[Read more]

Blue and yellow striped dragon sounds familiar but I can’t think what series that is.
I’ve read parts of both the Kingdom series and The Seven Sleepers but I didn’t particularly like either of them 😛
I love Riverdance. I have the CD and I really enjoyed it when my dance teacher and her niece (who was the one giving the Irish…[Read more]

@seekjustice Well, Edith Nesbit wrote mostly fantasy, right? So, no. 😉 My little sister has a series about a blue and yellow striped dragon. I don’t remember what it’s called, but I think it’s pretty well known. The other fantasy series I’ve read are the Kingdom Series by Chuck Black, Seven Sleepers by Gilbert Morris, and the Terrestria Chr…[Read more]

Ah, fair enough. Those sort of things don’t bother me as much so I guess I’d never noticed it.
What about Edith Nesbitt?
I like watching Irish dancing. I took semi-official classes last year and it was really, really hard. I also like listening to the music.
Though I’ve only seen modern Irish and I haven’t seen any older stuff.

@seekjustice Let me clarify what I’m sure you already know: I have no problem with women earning money. My opinion on that is just really complicated, and I didn’t like a couple of the themes in Alcott’s books.
Just in case what I said about Alcott was confusing. 😉 I think I just made it more confusing. 😛
Oh, I was meaning to ask you, what…[Read more]

@xonos-darkgrate Oh, cool. I prefer realistic myself, but a lot of the people on the forum like the modern styles. Haha, I was about to ask you what fandom it was for. I guess it’s not. 😛
Do you have any writing projects you’re currently working on? (not necessarily at this moment, just ones that are in progress.)
@catwing I feel like I sh…[Read more]

Alcott never struck me as particularly feminist. What makes you say that?
Have you ever read any Rosemary Sutcliff? I’m not sure whether you’d like them or not, but I love her stories.
I don’t know imagine you’d like many of the myriad of fantasy stories I consume. Or most of Charles Dickens. Have you ever read Elizabeth Gaskall?…[Read more]

@seekjustice Oh, didn’t I? Whoops! 😛
I used to like boys books way more than girls books, because they had more adventure. Now I like both. We also had a lot more boys books than girls books when I was growing up because I have an older brother… 😉
I like Alcott except for her feminism, but that’s hard to avoid in any case. Jo’s Boys is…[Read more]

You didn’t tag me so I didn’t realise you responded till just then.
I have explained before that I was never much into girl books. And while I liked Anne of Green Gables, I never adored it.
Mary thinks Dickon is magic, but as far as I know there’s no charms, I’m almost at the end.
I love Little Women! It’s one of my favourite…[Read more]

The Writerly Adventures of Jenna Trapperton
Basically it’s like a roleplay, except KP instead of The Aetherlight. I (SPOILER ALERT) gave the KP Aetherlighters an appearance, too, so. . . ya.

@xonos-darkgrate Hmm…so how do you know that your poor Asian boy will be your servant forever? Since forever hasn’t happened yet, how do you know how it will play out? You never know, he might find a way to escape from you.
🙂 😉

@xonos-darkgrate In my excitement, I hadn’t considered that. How silly of me. . . 😛
Hey, I’m glad I’m not the only one with virtually billions of unfinished story blurbs! Those drive me nuts. . . Pretty much the only thing I’ve ever finished so far is the KPA (which if you haven’t read yet, I think you oughta. . .).
