I have the same problem and have not mastered it… yet… I find for me anyway, it has to do with my mood. Try writing in the same environment as much as possible, for me it’s dark, quite, with some kind of epic study music.

For one thing, there is A TON of fantasy out there, and from a person who likes things being realistic I would do it in real world.
