Hi, @Northerner! I’m so glad you decided to join! Oh, please do ramble. History is one of my very favorite things, and Anglo-Saxon history even more. I will not be bored. 🙂

@emma-l Welcome! Hey, Fire is one of my favorite books too! Have you read the rest of the series? Fire was my favorite, but I also liked the one with the French Revolution theme.

This is the first sentence of one of the stories I’m writing.
“When Nemandir the Seeker was left dead in a puddle of his own blood, the world wept.”

This was so helpful with a less developed character of mine, just by thinking about how he would handle all the different situations. He came out an ISTJ.
Now I want to do it with all my other characters, just cuz.

Hullo, @emma-l! Shall I say it? *thinks hard* I’ll say it. This place is the bestistest place ever! What kind of animals do you have on your farm? And those “creatures”. Do I want to know about those? 😉
@haileyh412 Human, Elf, or dragon? 🙂

@dragon-snapper Yay, hooks! I love hooks! There are several types of them:
1.) Raising a question (as other people have mentioned, I think). I think this one pretty much explains itself.
2.) Creating a vivid character. If you start with an interesting or unusual character, people will be intrigued by them and keep going.

@hannah-c @perfectfifths @jess And on that note, I shall return to the swirl of glitter from whence I came, because holy cow, it’s 11:30 pm! (actually, not for you, Perfect, if you’re in Australia. This time zone thing is so confusing… 🙂 )
Fare thee well, and your cat! (and dog)
