I’ll be writing, though I probably won’t say very much as I’m a little busy today so I’ll be focusing on wording. 😀

@0-0enyali0-0 As Dekreel said, focus on the characters rather than the fight and that’ll make the scene that much better.

I can’t recommend research enough. Learn as much as you possibly can about the method of fighting that you’re using. The more you know, the easier the fight scenes will become to write.

@daeus If you’re going to do Write Better Academy, then you have to do ‘Write More Better Academy.’ That’ll sell people, won’t it? 😉

@joy I’d say to go with the first one, mainly because I’ve heard of a lot of literature where the king has to ‘go on the run’. The first one, to me, sounds more original, and interesting. 😀

Yeah. I have no idea. You’d think a former fantasy writer would have a dictionary replete with such names, but I’ve never had a strong suit for that.

@Dekreel everyone else has some good ideas, and I second theirs. Basically, if you can bring in a side plot or throw in another antagonist to add more conflict and higher stakes it’ll keep your middle going strong.
