Can I just pop in and say that these are awesome? Because these are awesome. I don’t know how it would work, but it would be really cool to do some kind of compilation of these as a post for the website… or as a contest idea. Hmmmm… *disappears in a brainstorm*

Awwww! I like it! I’d say play with syntax–that’s the lovely thing about poetry. If you don’t need a period or a capital letter, you don’t have to use one. Syntax can become part of the art, so use it. If you have a word that just needs to hang, hang it on a comma. *APPEARS IN EXPLOSION OF UNFINISHED STUDY PACKETS* HOLD THY FIRE! I have been summoned twice–NOW THRICE *takes half melted chair and flops down* upon this night, so here I am. I agree with all that has been said so far. I also watch slam poetry for inspiration. Like, when you write free verse, you want it to be something that can be performed…[Read more]

@daeus LOL! YASSSS! I love this idea! xD Literally the best. The staff people are so smart and stuff. xD Jk. Really though, y’all, pick some topics for us! 🙂
@kate-flournoy I’d definitely second what Daeus said. Asking questions and participating (while nice) definitely isn’t a requirement. 😉 And you can still learn lots from other people’s…[Read more]

@mark-kamibaya VidAngel is Studio C endorsed, so.. I mean, that’s definitely a plus. xD Jk, but seriously, like Hope said, it’s a good one as long as you’re alright with the whole $20 initial payment.

Excellent question! As a second-year college kid, I could probably write you a book on things to know before starting college, but there are actually lots of books already out there to help you with the transition. My biggest piece of advice is find somewhere that you feel at home at–or think you will feel at home at, and then go for it–get…[Read more]

Favorite movie? Good grief, that’s a tough one… Probably Dead Poet’s Society. It has some cruder elements to it, but the overarching theme of the mentor and coming of age is fantastic. It’s also a huge tear-jerker… so many feelings and what not. 🙂 Star Wars, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Lord of the Rings are some of my more mainstream…[Read more]
