@winter-rose Yeah! It’s much better than I’ve been doing. I started a new novel recently, and beginning the first ten chapters is like writing in a puddle of molasses. This dangerous writing app is helping me get over it. 😉

@winter-rose Well, 590 to my novel. I’ve done other experimenting too so I’d guess a thousand or so in all. Although…I did this one mode and I lost like 300-400 words. AGH!!!!!!! They were good words too. Ah well, I guess this is why it’s called the Most Dangerous Writing App.

@winter-rose Yeah. It’s pretty intense. XD When I stopped writing for a sec, everything got faded and red. Yikes.

@winter-rose It’s called The Most Dangerous Writing App. Basically, you write for 5 minutes straight without stopping. If you stop, it deletes everything you wrote. In my first test session, which was basically incoherent stuff–nothing to do with stories–I wrote nearly 400 words in 5 minutes, which is almost 5,000 words an hour. 0.0

@winter-rose Yeah! I need some to. I’m testing a new writing app, so I might not respond immediately, every five minutes or so. 😀 What are you working on?

@jenwriter17 I’d thought I’d pop in here and join the discussion. 🙂
I’m one of those weird writers who don’t like to listen to music while I write, I find it too distracting. However, I like to listen to music before I write because it inspires me. The type of music I like best for that are tunes that remind me of my WIPs. Here are some of my fav…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 If your blog is mostly text, WordPress would probably be fine for you (even if you included post graphics, it’d still take a while for the memory to be used up). My blog is image heavy so that’s why it wasn’t right for me. 🙂

@daughteroftheking Wow! Your synopsis sounds exciting! 😃 Do you have a title for the book?

Audrey Caylin replied to the topic Any Advice for A Soon-To-Be Blogger? in the forum Publishing & Platform 8 years, 3 months ago
@jenwriter17 acutally…neither Audrey nor Caylin is part of my real name *hides* I did that because my real first name AND middle name are always misspelled and mispronounced. So my mom and I came up with something totally different, thus Audrey Caylin. (Though I definitely feel I look like an Audrey and my mom did almost name me “Carly,” thus…[Read more]

@dekreel XD Nice Pikachu.
Alright, I need to go make some pizza, but I might be back later. Thanks for your encouragement! 😀 I’ll try to get back to it soon.

@Dekreel Well, I’ve been side-tracked with novel-writing and blogging. But…I still feel stuck with it, if you know what I mean.
I’m going to try to write some to my novel. Get over this first ten chapter hump. 1000 words, Snapper, that’s all you need.
One. Thousand. Words.

Like @audrey-caylin said, the biggest thing you can do to build your base and bring people to your blog is comment and build relationships with other bloggers. I’ve had to do that myself.
Unexpected… Actually, the main thing that I didn’t expect was how much I’ve enjoyed it. There’s not much that I haven’t liked so far. But you…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 I’m not sure I’m the best person to offer advice on the subject since I’ve only been blogging since May. I agree with @audrey-Caylin that getting people to read a blog is the hardest part (I’ve been struggling with that myself). Posting about yourself and your life’s happenings is advice I’ve heard on various places (I think that…[Read more]

Snapper replied to the topic Does This Style Make Any Sense? in the forum Short Story Critiques 8 years, 3 months ago
@rochellaine AH! I love the plotline. I really want to know what happens. Like really. Write more now.
The only things I think you need to do is add some paragraph breaks–those make it easier to read. And try to use the word ‘so’ less. It’s alright to use it with this guys style, but a bit less would be better.
It’s also a bit fast-paced. If…[Read more]

@dekreel  Oh nooooo!!!  I just realised that All I Need Is You is the Hollyn song I really don’t like (I figured that BOTH the bold and the italics would be enough emphasis lol).   I got confused between “All I Need Is You” and “Nothin’ On You” somehow.  So it’s Nothin’ On You that I like.  *lets out a sigh*  Okay, so I have now cleared that u…[Read more]
