@rochellaine Good, then she wouldn’t have to see what she was going through 😉
Rin would probably want to be invisible except for that one person, cuz she doesn’t like a lot of attention. 🙂

@jenwriter17 Thank you!!
@rochellaine Do you wear skirts all the time?
Also, most northerners think that supporting the south meant supporting slavery. So I will just ask, what do you mean by being a southern supporter? 🙂
@seekjustice You are really helpful for us Americans, too! I have learned more about Australia from you than anywhere e…[Read more]

Well, its folk/country music but I think its mostly okay.
Oh yes, I’ve done that sort of thing before. Its a lot of fun 🙂
Yes they are, though I don’t think I’ve ever worn one. I’m a long skirt or jeans person, but I do like the look of them.
Funny how we use the Writers Corner to discuss fashion, isn’t it? All right 🙂 talk tomorrow!

Yep, Waltzing Matilda is very much Australian. Its one of Banjo Patterson’s poems that’s been put to music. (Just a note on the other songs/artists, I can’t promise that there isn’t scattered cursing in them, but I think they’re pretty okay for the most part.)
Stations are awesome. And they’re so big I think they would blow your…[Read more]

Well some well known ones would be Waltzing Matilda, Click Go the Shears, Down Under, True Blue…basically anything by Lee Kernaghan…all very Australian.
Ah, lucky you. People always seem to be surprised when they find out I’m homeschooled. As if I’m too normal to be homeschooled. Do you ever get the question: Do you have any…[Read more]

Well, yep, its Australian. Have you heard any other Australian songs?
As are you 🙂 just a question: in America do homeschoolers get typecast as super conservative girls with denim skirts and long hair? Like, half way to being Amish sort of people?

SeekJustice replied to the topic Writers' Corner #16 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years ago
Yeah we sing that song 🙂 I’m pretty sure its actually an Australian song. I didn’t know other people sang it too 😉

@kaya-young Bye! 🙂
I’m afraid I’ll have to say ‘happy late writing’ to @rochellaine as well, because I have to go too. See ya! 😉

@rochellaine Yeah, I’m a super slow writer too, so I understand.
🙂 Probably more book length? I don’t really know yet.
@jenwriter17Â Thank you!
Well I shall bid you goodnight! Happy late night writing to both of you. 🙂

@rochellaine Yes, It actually was a name  @alia suggested, and I modified a bit. 🙂 Tove was the original though, and it means thunder.

Kaya Young replied to the topic Writers' Corner #16 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years ago
@jenwriter17Â Â Oh! You’re almost done! That’s so exciting! Is there any chance I could beta read it? I know I wasn’t the best at giving you feedback before, so I understand if you don’t want me to.
I’m working on a story I had an idea for this morning about a girl who I am now calling Tovia.

@rochellaine For sure 😀 Do you want to read the edited or unedited? It shouldn’t take me terribly long to edit it, since I have a deadline driving me on 😉

@rochellaine Pretty good. I’m reading over my last chapter before posting it for my beta readers 🙂 I’m not sure the ending turned out the way I wanted it to, so we’ll see what the readers say.
