@alia I usually don’t, but after I bombed on my last short story I wanted to do this one right.
@rochellaine Thanks! I quite like it, except for one little plot element.

@rochellaine, I don’t either, but it was entertaining, I haven’t stopped laughing
@seekjustice, I imagine it a mixture of Mirkwood and Fangorn

@jenwriter17, I like your new picture. bye
@rochellaine, well, my taking the story prompt is actually just me taking a single aspect from it. I rarely take the whole idea.

@jenwriter17 I love beetles!! As in, car beetles, Volkswagens. 😀
@rochellaine Actually, your prompt reminds me of a short story I wrote once, based on a Japanese myth. It was about a girl who offered herself as a sacrifice to the sea dragon instead of the emperor’s daughter.
And yes, another subplot! (I just wrote sobplot though, and that seems…[Read more]

@rochellaine @seekjustice @alia Well, I’m gonna have to go now too. Usually I can divide my attention well, but the writers’ corner is distracting me right now. 😉 I have to go work on my SE contest entry. Bye! And don’t stay up too late 😛

@rochellaine My question: why were they gonna sacrifice her to the wild waves? And can babies actually be taught to swim that young?

Well, I’m working on a short story which I’m considering entering into an anthology competition. Its kind of a King Arthur…Little Mermaid…thing.
I’m actually supposed to be editing Stars though. I’ve got some new ideas for at least one subplot which i’d like to add.

@rochellaine, I do bags, skirts, and doll clothes.
@ariel-ashira, in Jewish it means “one who rises up”. I love ancient cultures.

@ariel-ashira I know, I know…Pinterest is SUCH huge distraction for me. 🙂 My excuse is that I find writing inspiration there. 😛
I might use this prompt that Daughteroftheking posted:
