Have you ever finished or published a book?

@xonos-darkgrate I write mostly historical fiction, but have some ideas for a dystopian.  Since I have so many I want to write, I try to just focus on a couple at once.

Do you write book length poems?  I write poems, but not book length.

I honestly think this is a matter for your conscience. Some Christians feel comfortable writing/reading books with swearing, others don’t. I personally choose not to add in curse words because I just don’t see the point. I think it also depends on who you’re writing for. @ariel-ashira  Personally, curse words don’t bother me in books until they are misused or used too often. That being said, I don’t generally find curse words very offensive, as I’ve grown up around several people who cuss. This summer I visited Ireland, and they cuss constantly! Hmm I’m not too sure about this myself.

I understand wanting to make sure that your dialogue reflects reality. I suppose one way to include such swearing without stumbling others is to make sure that you are simply portraying the swearing as part of the characterisation but not as a good or acceptable thing.

yes we lost a guinea pig in the spring. we’ve actually lost three over the last few years, two of them due to using the wrong bedding for their cage. We didn’t know that pine bedding wasn’t good for their respiratory system. 🙁
