I’ll make sure to mention that to mum. grapes will be in season soon, I think. And yes, it’s almost summer (urgh).
Okay, I’ll take a look in a second.
Thank you 🙂 I am currently well stocked with green tea, so hopefully I’ll be fine 🙂
I imagine you’ve heard of Blandina too, then. She’s awesome as well 😀

@seekjustice Neat! There are a lot of people who give me blank looks when I say her name.

@ariel-ashira Historical fiction sounds like so much work! I feel really happy for all the people who put all the effort and care that it takes to make it. ^-^
@seekjustice Oh my, I’ll have to fly over to Australia and give you a back rub! I could bring you some tea too. 😉

That’s really cool! I was reading about Perpetua quite recently actually, in one of my dad’s college textbooks 😀

@rochellaine Your book sounds SO neat!
Do you think some of the religious leader would’ve shunned her as well since her father returned the money and hung himself?

@rochellaine I would love to read some of it! It sounds like a really creative idea. I think even us Christians fail sometimes to display christlike behavior. (Which is pretty pathetic of us, but sadly that’s part of the human condition.) So it would be a cool theme to explore in a story. Or maybe that’s not quite the way you are approaching it?…[Read more]

@rochellaine @seekjustice @notawriter
I am researching various parts of roman life and stuff about Perpetua’s diary, trying to fill in the gaps on my story. Yes, its a his-fic story.
Yeah, an SE his-fic topic would be cool!

@notawriter I want to say my stress levels, 😛 but we’ll go with “I’m working on a short story to submit to an anthology and it’s fun so far!”
@ariel-ashira Oh, what are you working on now? Still his-fic? I’ve been thinking of making an SE thread for historicals, cause I think that would be fun. What do you think?

And to clarify, when I say “I know a lot” I mean that I know a lot for an average run of the mill Australian girl.
And no, I haven’t. I’d never even thought of freezing grapes.
I’ll definitely read it, if you want to post it 😀
@notawriter @ariel-ashira Hello there!

I have a friend who’s mother knows a lot about the culture and has done some travelling, so I hear about it quite a lot.
Our family doesn’t eat frozen fruit, except for putting in smoothies or milkshake sort of things. I think my siblings like eating frozen blueberries a bit.
Actually, I can tell you that I do like canned fruit a…[Read more]

Yes, I think so. It’s a pizza stable here, and I think the cheapest pizza you can buy 😀 Do you not eat ham because of your Middle Eastern background?
Yes, we do 😀 Though at restaurants it usually only comes on expensive burgers.
I have had them before but I don’t like them. I really like fruit, but I’m strictly a fresh fruit…[Read more]

I guess so? But you’d probably have to go to a health food store, or there might be some in the health food section of the supermarket, I don’t know.
Do you have ham and pineapple pizza? Maybe that’s just an Australian thing.
What about pineapple? Do you have that on burgers? Haha, my dad likes talking about once when he was r…[Read more]
