@seekjustice Ah…no, I meant that I found the conversation hilarious. But then, I find almost every conversation we have here hilarious, so that’s nothing new. 😉
@alia I wouldn’t say they’re a full romance series. The first two books have absolutely no romance in them at all, since the series starts when she’s 14 and the series ends s…[Read more]

@seekjustice @alia Oh, this is hilarious. 😛
By the way, my go-to for flirting examples is always the Patty Fairfield series by Carolyn Wells. Wells writes flirtation so well!! Should I post an example for you? (by the way, I’ve never written flirting, so my plans for writing it are all theoretical. 😉 )
I just got distracted reading all our o…[Read more]

@alia During the first book I got pretty annoyed with Chessy for falling for an unbeliever. That situation was resolved in the second book, and because I began to feel more sorry for Justice, (and because of the window scenes,) I didn’t mind them getting together. I really thought she was going to go for Zac more, though. I would have… 😛 We…[Read more]

@alia Well, window scenes don’t mean as much to you as they do to me. 😉 I tell my sister, “If some guy ever asks you how to make me like him, tell him to talk to me through a window.” 😛 I don’t know, there’s just something really romantic about window scenes, to me. Mostly from the Patty Fairfield series.
@seekjustice I don’t know the ba…[Read more]

@seekjustice Remember, @jenwriter17 shipped Justice and Chessy, so she must have liked him a bit. 😉

@seekjustice I don’t think he needs to be a copy of another character. Like we discussed once, your characters are mix and matches of all the different characters from the original. So if the “glory of Enjolras” as you call it, doesn’t get fully portrayed in Justice, maybe some of it shows up in the other characters.
The characters that are e…[Read more]

@alia He didn’t have his own POV in book one, so that’s not a problem, right? 😉 In book two, we were introduced to a man broken by the deaths of nearly all his followers who was struggling with his newfound faith and his impossibly horrible memories. I felt the drastic change was very realistic, especially once we got to know his backstory. So…[Read more]

@seekjustice Actually, contrary to what @alia said, I felt Justice was very realistic. He was stiff, and I pretty much despised him, but I despised him as a human, not as a badly written character, because I thought he was very well written.
I hope you don’t humanize him too much in the revisions, because it would ruin his character.
Little…[Read more]

@alia Well, you see, she didn’t love Jonas as much as she loved Quillon. I love Jonas better than Quillon, and Zac better than Justice, but she’s chosen Quillon as her favorite, and none of the other men mean nearly as much to her as Quillon does.
I am in complete agreement with you, but if the author loves Quillon, the author must be allowed t…[Read more]

@seekjustice I have a confession. I didn’t actually cry at Zac’s death.
Partly it was because, like @alia said, I kept getting called away and when I finally got to the end I wasn’t immersed in the story as I should have been. The other reason was probably because I already knew he would die, and he died in the exact same way and sequence as Sy…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hey, I’m here for a while. I’ll drop out in a bit for family worship, but I’m here now and I’ll be back after that. 😉 (Our guests left this morning…well, some of them… 😛 )
@alia Don’t worry, I doubt she’ll ever kill Quillon, Chessy, or Justice. Well, I’m not completely sure about Justice. 😛 She won’t kill Chessy bec…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yes, that does make it interesting, and as you say, maddening. 😛 What I honestly thought, was that she would kidnap the other girl or something, and go behind the door herself, because then the law would be applicable to her as well. I guess the probably wouldn’t hold the ceremony without her, though. It just seems like that wo…[Read more]

@seekjustice Which would you choose? 😛 It’s actually easy if you realize what true love is, right? I mean, wouldn’t it obviously be better for him to live, even though married to someone else, than die a horrible death? Sounds like she had a pretty selfish love if there was even a consideration of showing him the wrong door. What do you th…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hm, I seem to recognize the name. I think I may have heard of him before. I’ll have to look him up.
And you should definitely look up Paul Washer. He’s amazing, and very passionate.
Ah, haha! I was thinking that would be the one you would like. 😛 I’m not sure which one I like best. I just watched on YouTube the American Playh…[Read more]

@seekjustice Cool! Who’s the speaker? My favorite is Paul Washer, but though he’s famous among us U.S. homeschoolers, I don’t think you’ve heard of him. 😛
Aaand, I probably haven’t heard of your speaker either, but…tell me anyway? 😉

@seekjustice Hey, are you still awake? I’m here now. 🙂
The soundtrack I was listening to was from a musical called The Apple Tree. Ever heard of it?

@seekjustice Oh, wow!! Please send it over! I don’t know how much I’ll read tonight, since I’ve got to get up around 5:30 tomorrow, but I might read it tomorrow in the car or something. (My dad’s speaking at a church a few hours away, so we’ve got to leave by 6:30.)
I listened to a new soundtrack today… 😉

@jenwriter17 Oh, I love Gideon too!! He’s adorable. So cute, especially when he…uh…every scene… 😛 But I love it when he dances with Milly in the “Goin’ Courtin'” scene. And when he says “nice night for coon huntin'” as a “sweet thing.” 😛 (that was him, right? It’s been a while.)
That actor is one of my favorite actors as well. Funny…[Read more]
