@dekreel I don’t want to tell you the story if there’s a chance you’ll read the books because I hate spoilers. 🙂

@dekreel Oh, my signature! 🙂 It’s one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite series. It would take really long to explain. If you like historical fiction at all, you can read the series for free on gutenberg.org. It’s the Patty series by Carolyn Wells. You have to read them in order. She starts at 14, and grows up and gets marrie…[Read more]

@dekreel I like Kevin best too, except that I messed up on him way more than on Dekreel. 🙂 Dekreel’s hair was a lot of fun to do.

@dekreel Okay, that worked! So here are the other two.
Phoebe – This one’s not very detailed.
Kevin – his cheek got kind of messed up.

@dekreel I drew your characters too… I will try to post them, but I’ve never posted a picture before, so we’ll see how it ends up. 🙂

@seekjustice I actually read it all at once the night you posted it. (Took me until 3:00 am, though). So I had to go back and skim through it to remember the details. 🙂 But here are my thoughts.
Who was your favorite character? Why? I liked Rain, of course. She was cute. My favorite character personally might be Quillon, just because he’…[Read more]

@perfectfifths Well, WWII would probably work as well. I just meant to pick a time when France was pretty much ravaged. Everything burnt to the ground, people starving, and soldiers from both sides just shooting over their heads. France had a pretty bad time of it during both world wars.

@seekjustice I thought I probably should let you know that I read your book too. 🙂 I hope you don’t mind. Maybe you won’t when I tell you I loved it! I would definitely buy the published version and any sequels you write.

@dekreel Since the story is set in the West, and she climbs the mountains all the time, she would easily pick climbing the wall.
@perfectfifths She already has too good of a memory (she would like to forget bad memories more easily) but she wouldn’t like to have bad short-term memory because she likes her new friends, and wouldn’t want to forget…[Read more]

@skredder That’s actually a realistic question for Chara, because she gets disoriented very easily. 🙂 She would probably rather know where she is in a place where she can’t speak the language, because she can take care of herself as long as she doesn’t get disoriented.
I actually saw a really cool episode of an anthology show from the 1950s…[Read more]

@waterlily Yeah, you can kind of imagine how that town got its name. 🙂 I made a couple of variations like Hestunk and Shestounk, but I liked Shestunk best. (I make so many, and I eliminate and delete until I have a small enough list to post here. 🙂 )
I wonder who it was, exactly, that stunk so badly they gave the town a name like that?

@waterlily OOOH!!! She’s going to be a great Kirlas! I think the name goes perfectly with the character.
Can I please, please read it – or at least some of it – when it’s done? *smiles coaxingly*

@waterlily Have you ever seen the 1940 version of Pride and Prejudice? I love Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier in the main roles, and Melville Cooper as Mr. Collins is hilarious! (They changed a lot of things from the book, though, including moving it to the 1860s.)

Ooh, can I try this? I’ll do it with my character Chara (Sh-ah-ra).

@pickupyourpenandwrite Hello! I play the piano too, but I like singing better. 🙂
I think we have a couple other people here who live in England, but I’m not exactly sure who.
How many siblings do you have?
