Hey @Shannon that would be so awesome!! I need to finish revising though… Would you mind me getting back to you like in a few months? I just thought I’d throw the beta-reader question out there while I was introducing myself. I can get ahead of myself sometimes lol

@Mariposa I love the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. I like to sing in my choir and in my worship team. 🙂

@DragonSnapper Haha very creative question! I live in the desert lol and I’d say leather boots are a smarter choice even though it would be hot… the cactus spines might get to you if you wear slippers 😛

Hi @dragon-snapper, sticking to the same style is something I’ve heard that young writers (including myself) can have trouble with figuring out (since we’re moody maybe? lol idk). I don’t know if this would help, but try reading a book with a similar style that you want your book to have, and then sit down to write? Also trying to pin down what style and mood your particular setting and characters should have might help.
Hello! I am her cousin. 🙂 Do you guys think it matters if she has the more exciting chapters in the beginning? We kind of ran into the problem of balancing. I will have more exciting stuff later, but she has the exciting stuff sooner in her plot, if that makes sense! She and I have talked about this before, but we can’t think of a way to fix it, or if it’s worth fixing.

What if at first you self-publish a book and then you try traditionally publishing a different book? Would it affect what publishers think of you? Would they more likely or less likely want to publish your book?
