@that_writer_girl_99 Books and TV shows? Well, for TV there was Playschool, Bananas in Pyjamas, The Wiggles, Peppa Pig, Dora the Explorer… I can’t remember anything else atm.
Books, I had one called Dear Zoo, which was a favourite. Guess How Much I Love You, I’ll Love You Forever, You Are Special. Mum read a lot of classics to us. We had some…[Read more]

@emily-d I reckon a lot of people use internet slang in everyday speech. “Lol, that’s totes funny. OMG, I can’t even.” XD I hardly use it even when messaging. But when its said out loud, it sounds really lame.

@dragon-snapper I think my Mum said that Christians especially use the term “unpack.” We’re also homeschooled, and a lot of the resources we used were American, because that’s all there was, so she’d seen it around a lot.

@dragon-snapper I don’t know if this would be considered slang, but Americans say “unpack” a lot in the context of teaching. Like, “We’ll unpack this as we go.” It is really annoying 😛

@winter-rose Yes, I agree with @daeus. But always wait between actually writing the thing, and all the hard editing/proofreading.

@dragon-snapper Lol, one of my ‘Merican friends that says “Ya’ll” a lot was trying to get me to say it (and by say it, I mean type in our chat conversation 😉 ) and I refused, until right when she had to go, so I said it to make her happy 😉 😀

@dragon-snapper @winter-rose Oh yeah, whatever you do, keep working on other projects! If you get out of your writing groove, it can be very hard to get back in. I probably should have clarified before, but by taking a break, I meant taking a break from that particular project, let it brew for a while, and work on something else you may have had…[Read more]

@winter-rose Taking a break is a good idea. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a month, but you should definitely have some time between finishing the first draft and beginning to edit/proofread/rewrite (if you leave it too long, though, that’s procrastinating, and you should make yourself do it. Personal experience 😉 )
As for your dilemma with…[Read more]

I have completed the task *bows* I hope it is to your satisfaction.
It was fun, and made me appreciate poetry a little more. It’s not all long, flowy sentences and good-feely, mush-mush 😉 XD It was great! 😀

@emily-d I think I read that, but I’ve only read it once, and I don’t quite remember 🙂 But I’m sure I would have, because Banjo Patterson 😉

Well, since my name was called twice now, I haven’t actually seen that many music videos, but the ones I have seen, although I didn’t particularly like the content in them, I admired them for their cinematography and their general cleverness. A couple music videos I do like are the ones for Owl City’s Fireflies and Unbelievable. Although a rather…[Read more]
