@anyone who’s talking about goats
Some friends of ours moved to a farm a few years back (like a hobby farm where all the animals are pets rather than a proper farm, but it’s great) But they got their first two goats before they moved, so they had these adorable little kids in their backyard! 😀 They have lots of goats now, and horses and one pony,…[Read more] -

@emily Ooh, Peleg Chronicles! (I haven’t been keeping up with the convo, just saw your response XD ) That’s a great trilogy, though quite preachy, I found, so a non-Christian audience might not like it so much.

@aratrea Possibly… I just thought the fact that his relationship with his son wasn’t everything he had hoped it would be was sad. 😛
I just finished it (again 😛 ) and I have to say, I think I enjoyed his story a little more the second time round – not because I knew what was going to happen though (I had a vague idea, but I couldn’t remember…[Read more]

@aratrea That’s a really interesting question… One thing I find sad is that Aquila’s relationship with his son isn’t all he had hoped it would be, so for one thing I’d probably tweak that a little and make them more friendly with each other. 🙂

@aratrea Well, it only takes a three or four chapters before his home is destroyed and all that happens. He lives with hate and bitterness for a long time, especially since when he finally finds his sister, she is now the wife of the Saxon man that carried her off and has a child, and when he asks her to escape with him, she stays. It’s not until…[Read more]

@aratrea Well… it’s been a while since I’ve done these videos, so please excuse if I’m a little vague 😉 However, my friend and I have still been writing our story, and the character I’m focusing on in the homework has started her arc a little now 😀
Characteristic Moment Well, at the start of the characters’ journey, Amrei (I can’t even…[Read more]

@jess-penrose @aratrea Yes! That one is great! And it even reflected in the actual writing, I found. *Spoiler alert* 😉 Everything about him and in him seemed shrouded in darkness. Though he’s a good person and tries to do what’s right, he’s trapped in lies and darkness from his past. When he changes, everything feels so much clearer, his…[Read more]

@his-instrument: I meant that as, “I felt like I was being super annoying to you and I’m proud of you for not getting upset at me”. I probably could have worded that better lol 😀

@dragon-snapper thou hast summoned me from the depths of digital art. What dost thou callest upon my extensive wisdom for? Dost this concernest my sister’s blog post?
Btw, I pretty much stood over her shoulder the whole time going “Oh, what about this gif?” and “You need to put this caption!” It’s a miracle I’m still alive!:D
Oh, and does anyone…[Read more] -

I haven’t been following Cote’s work for awhile. But it’s cool that you’ve talked to her twice! 😀
You and Cote? Oh, and I think I’m probably past the age where I would be known as a “laddie”. 😛I don’t think I have a favorite character… I like them all, too. 🙂

Why restrain yourself? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the genre!
Which is why I write it! XD Another type of sci-fi I’d like to write is 10 minutes into the future. 🙂
Yes, I have. They’re pretty good. Although, sometimes I think Cote misuses the word “Coy”… 😛 I haven’t read them all in…[Read more]

@seekjustiace Oh yes, I heard about the Vegemite chocolate. My friend and her mum and brother tried it, and I think they said it was disgusting. It just sounds disgusting.

@f5a8c3e92 @shannon Yeah, people who don’t know it do take too much. It’s not like peanut butter where you can spread it all over and the worst you get is a sticky mouth. I once watched American people trying Australian foods, and when they got to the Vegemite, they were spreading too much, and one dude took a whole spoonful and ate it, and gagged.

I totally understand how one could turn the story of Jesus into a fantasy setting (Narnia, the Kingdom’s series by Chuck Black, arguably The Lord of the Rings, and even Jenny L. Cote’s Max & Liz/The Epic Order of the Seven series), but sci-fi is a rather overlooked genre. And it helps if one doesn’t like writing about magic……[Read more]

@dragon-snapper I think, if you changed his expression, rounded off his edges, and changed the collar to something less high up, he’d look pretty good as James. 🙂

Because it’s technically cheaper. 😛
We need more Christian Sci-fi writers, just sayin’. 😛
