It’s okay @daeus , 🙂 I’m already shifting gears and getting interested in “Animal Farm.” Idealist communism, huh? I’m intrigued …
The Hobbit is awesome, @bluejay ! It’s one of my top favorites. 😀
You probably don’t have to read it again, @ivy-rose to participate in or follow the discussion if you want to. Would that be alright, @daeus ?

@Anna-Brie – Thanks for the summary! That sounds really interesting; I’ll have to find it again and read it.
I’ve read Animal Farm. (It’s free on iBooks, to whom it may concern.) I was very intrigued with the allegorical aspect of it; I want to be able to write like that, so I’m looking forward to the discussion. Good pick, Daeus!

Thanks, @kate-flournoy 🙂 It sounds a little like “Whittington.” I’ll probably like it then. *puts on game face* In the words of Linguini, “Let’s do this thing!”
Thank you too, @adry_grace 🙂 Political history sounds great, although I think the chances of getting caught up in off-branching discussions on this book may be nearly as great as…[Read more]

Well, @daeus , personally I’m rather disappointed because I expected that we would be reading “The Witch of Blackbird Pond,” and had already set my heart on it. I find myself that discussions on any aspect of a book are instructive in the art of writing, but since you acted in the interest of time, I can hardly blame you.
I also wasn’t too keen…[Read more]

I vote accordingly:
1. Chasing Vermeer
2. Fiddler’s Gun
3. Count of Monte Cristo@Bluejay– What is The Witch of Blackbird Pond about? I’ve always avoided it because of the title.
