I totally agree with you. It’s definitely one of my favorite subplots in stories.

Hey so, I’m having a bit of a problem and not sure how to fix it. I love writing, like I’m obsessed with it, but at the same time I just can’t seem to make myself write. Does that make any sense? (And yes sometimes I like the idea more then actually doing it)
I don’t think i…[Read more]

@r-m-archer Yea that’s probably where it’s gonna end up in the end. Thru the 5th and 6th books I think there’ll be a lot more conflict on almost all the characters but I do think it will end up in that position at the last book

So as you’ve probably heard a million times by authors, is the importance of reading as a writer. But I’ve actually have learned way more about writing by talking about books I’ve read than actually reading the book. And besides, talking about books is probably one of a writer’s favorite things to do, even without all the benefits of improving…[Read more]

Why The Horse and His Boy?? I am remarkably curious. I didn’t really grow up sheltered at all, so when my more conservative friends (this happens to me in real life just as much as on the internet) say they weren’t able to read/watch certain things I get confused 😀

Think y’all can help me out? I’m struggling some. So I wrote my prologue and my mom and I edited it thru and it is SO MUCH BETTER!! I really like it, but now I’m stuck with the first chapter.
I think now I’ve realized I’m starting with my protagonist in the wrong spot….but I’m still just struggling.…[Read more]

So I’ve decided to start drafting early! Gonna try to start today! I’m excited but also unsure if that makes any sense lol.
I wanna break the mold on “all first draft are terrible”. I know it’s supposed to be encouraging, and it is, but the better the first draft and more time I take, t…[Read more]

I need y’all’s help.
For several months I’ve been designing different art pieces for a Redbubble shop I have. I’m trying to raise money for my family’s adoption from Colombia, South America. Unfortunately (though also, fortunately because a lot of wonderful artists sell their creations on Redbubble. I know @jenwriter17

@r-m-archer @devastate-lasting @gracie-j @millennium Yeah, I got H.G. Wells on my first try (an excerpt from my fantasy/pirate project Into the Deep which I only just wrote out). Then some Anne Rice or whatever, then Agatha Christie, then Anne Rice again. Yeah. I think it’s biased. XD
Gee. We all write like famous authors. Neat.

@r-m-archer The first time around I actually go Stephen King, haha. But I think it was too short of a snippet. I tried both first and third, same results. Perhaps it’s the way we’ve been trained?
@millennium Agatha Christie was a very lit mystery author.
@william-starkey I’m assuming you got the same? XD

Hey there, recently discovered this fun thing and thought that I might share it with ya’ll.
Essentially it’s a text analyzer to find out which famous author do you write like, style-wise. Just copy/paste a chapter or something of a story into the box and in a few seconds you’ll get results. The longer the better.
Is it accurate? I pasted a…[Read more]

The episode(s) of AtLA that stuck out to me were are the last five-ish. they mash five episodes all into one for the finale, I love how they wrap it up. i also love the world-building and the characters, i really like how each different nationality is so distinctive but they are still similar, even in their dress.

@r-m-archer Devon hates how he has to pick up after everyone else. He’d rather be the fun friend, but he doesn’t get along well with others. Lionel would rather be the mom friend, but he’s too fun for that.
@gracie-j Rainan only seeks love from one person, so he’d rather be feared by all.
Would your character rather have magic powers or no?
-
Linyang Zhang replied to the topic Would You Rather Character Edition in the forum Characters 4 years ago
@r-m-archer Pebble falls asleep whenever, wherever, so he would probably go with the first. Eleven hates bothering with things, though, so probably the latter.
Would your character rather switch bodies with their love interest or their rival/worst enemy?
-
GodlyFantasy12 replied to the topic Would You Rather Character Edition in the forum Characters 4 years ago
Definitely been a hot minute since I’ve been chatting XD. Probs won’t be on here a whole lot, just to let y’all know. I’ve really just been kinda chilling, doing my own thing. I’ve been working one some character stuff and worldbuilding.
I will do one question tho.
Ara and November-The first way
Jocelyn: The opposite.

@gracie-j Jonah is the type to blow them off, definitely.
@r-m-archer Lonny will take the Amazon and conquer it.
If your character is in a love triangle which one would they rather pick?

Yeah…I don’t write music too often; mostly piano compositions.
@r-m-archer Thanks for the heads-up. Should have that fixed.
