I like Ranger’s Apprentice better too. I got very protective of Horace when Gilan mentioned Thorn is better at fighting than Horace in “Scorpion Mountain”. No one is better than Horace! That’s his thing!

@rolena-hatfield Thanks! Top two fantasy books… That’s hard. But I’d probably say “Ranger’s Apprentice” by John Flanagan, (the ninth is my favorite, but I guess you should probably start with the first,) and either the “Frontier Magic” series by Patricia Wrede, or her “Cecelia and Kate” series.

Once, I sprained my finger, and my brother and I made an elaborate story to tell my friends that involved portals, Narnia, and Aslan biting my finger. Then we realized that if the thing that represented God bit my finger, it would probably do more then just get sprained.
