They’re both pretty cool names!
I thought Dalbert was really odd. It’s like Albert, but with a D and that just seems crazy. Elbert is also quite strange and brings to mind an Anglo-Saxon prince or something. Amadeus is strange, but we’re more used to it, probably thanks to Mozart.

@seekjustice Jaron and Keir are great! I like those a lot. Especially Jaron. I think I might end up using that!
I’ve actually heard of all those except Casimir, Jaron, Kier, Kele, and Kiel, so I’m interested to hear which ones you thought were weird? 🙂 Casimir is the weirdest in my opinion. 😛 (No offense to any Casimirs who may happen to…[Read more]

@seekjustice Well, actually neither. 😛 Addison is still too normal. It sounds a bit strange, but everyone’s heard of it. I don’t want an ancient name either, like Adeodatus. I want a name that sounds normal, but no one has ever heard of it before, like
…okay, I have spent the last fifteen minutes searching for at least one example and I ca…[Read more]

I remember seeing her around 😀 She does seem pretty cool. I’ve often wished that I had a big sister.

Exactly how unusual are you thinking? More along the lines of Addison or, say, Adeodatus?

I wouldn’t either, but I’m not adverse to the idea of praying for a husband (as in, praying for the guy, not praying that I would get one)
We do change a lot, don’t we? I don’t remember ever having a specific list though. I still don’t have one now, to be honest.

@seekjustice @ariel-ashira I need a name for a character. He’s the protagonist of one of my writing projects, and it’s set in a contemporary period. Since he’s the protagonist he needs to have a nice enough sounding name that people won’t be put off by it. However, it needs to be a very unusual name in order for the plot to work. The kic…[Read more]

@seekjustice Haha. Well, I’ve heard of people doing that, so I don’t think it’s a completely strange or new idea. It’s not something I’d do, though. 😉
However, I did once (several years ago) write a list of questions I’d ask a guy who wanted to court me and their required answers. I went over it again recently and realized how silly it wa…[Read more]

Wondering if writing letters to your future husband qualifies as obsessed.
Also working on my novel 😀

@seekjustice I’m back!
The line between helpfulness and obsession…hm. 😛
@ariel-ashira Hello, I’m here now. One thing I noticed about SE was that it’s a lot like KP used to be. (obviously, because it’s run by the same people…) Basically what I mean is, while like you say, 90% of the people write fantasy and magic, a lot of the discussions…[Read more]

See you later 😀

@seekjustice I just went over there and it does look interesting.
I’m going to disappear for probably half an hour or forty-five minutes. See you later.

It’s basically about getting back to the way God defined girls to be, most of the posts are about relationships/guys.
It’s fascinating.

Hello! Well, I’m supposed to be working on my novel, but somehow I ended up reading the Girl Defined blog and wondering whether I’m normal or very, very strange.
