@seekjustice My list is in progress, but just a quick question: What do you mean by modern his-fics? Ones that were written recently, but don’t focus mainly on romance to the exclusion of any and all historical accuracy? 😛 (I kind of remember having this conversation with you, but it was a while ago, right?)

Just frustrating and I need to learn not to make mountains out of molehills. *Sigh*
Ah yes, I’d love that list! You were also going to suggest a few modern his-fics too, because you mentioned you’d read some good ones (and bad ones too, but I’m not interested in them 😛 )

Sorry Jen that I never got back to you (happy birthday by the way)
I think the numbers already posted are a good fit. It needs to be small, but there obviously needs to be enough people to give a variety of criticism. As to actually making it, I’m not really sure. I would suggest looking into something like Google hangouts (though…[Read more]

@seekjustice Hm, that doesn’t sound good. 😛
I was supposed to give you a list of his-fics with heroines who aren’t rich and snobby, wasn’t I? Would that make the day go better? 😉

Okay 😀
Ah, it’s one of those days where all the small things seem to be going wrong and its very frustrating 😉

@catwing @jenwriter17 Sorry I missed you! 🙁
@seekjustice I’m on now for just a little bit, then I might be on later too.
How’s it going?

Yeah, me either. I think it would kinda ruin her character!
I forgot we were talking about Jonathan and had to look at that sentence twice to work out what you were talking about 😛
Good night!

@seekjustice I cannot see Chessy as a mother. 😛 A fun aunt, yes, but a mother? Well, I guess she’d be a good mother if she did have kids, I just can’t see her as one right now. 😉
What other guy would actively assist someone else who was planning to take over the kingdom which should by inheritance be his own?
Well, maybe I’ll be able to w…[Read more]

Yeah, I’ve read a few series like that and I know it can be done, sometimes I just wish the author would move onto something else though. However, I have my Kai book I want to write and I love the Oliver Twist/Waif idea so I’ll probably wrote that eventually.
I’m half and half over whether I should give Chessy a child though 😛

@seekjustice I’ve read several series which had second, third, or more additional series along the same timeline with references to the same characters. To name a few, Gilbert Morris, Robin Jones Gunn, and Lauraine Snelling were all very successful with that. I don’t think it’s a problem, since if people like your books they’ll want to keep l…[Read more]

I’m not even one of those super obsessed people. I find them confusing! I think its quite interesting though.
I have thought about that. I am kind of wary of those people who just can’t let go of their characters though and just keep going and going and going with their series. But that is a cool idea. If I get some more ideas, I’ll…[Read more]

@seekjustice Well, if I ever decided to fully study it, I’d probably become more interested in it, since I’m usually very invested in what I intentionally study. Right now it’s pretty confusing, but I get the gist of what you’re saying. 😉
I was reading your blog post earlier, and wondering, since you want to make the Infinity series a trilogy,…[Read more]

Oh I see. Well, the idea behind the MBTI is that its about how people think rather than how they actually act, though obviously thought influences actions.
For example, the difference between Sensing and Intuition is whether someone processes information based on what they can sense and what they know to be factual, whereas…[Read more]

@seekjustice Yeah, I definitely know what you mean. 😛 There are some people who think it would be a perfect tragedy to be not able to talk to someone for five minutes.
Hm, well, that’s not exactly what I meant. I mean, what if your character’s arc was that he learned to take things as they come, and not expect things to be in little boxes? Wo…[Read more]

Bye!
Introverts only joke about that (I think anyway). I quite like people actually. I would argue though that labelling people as extrovert/introvert is helpful sometimes. I have extrovert friends who just don’t understand the need to be left alone, so in that case reading about introverts would be helpful for them to…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Well, I don’t like them because I don’t trust them, and I think they kind of limit people. I feel like if you tell someone “Hey, you’re an introvert!” they’ll think about it, then they’ll believe you, and they won’t ever try to be an extrovert. They’ll just think, “Oh, I’m an introvert, I don’t have to go out and meet people.” So…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Well, out of only my four mainest characters, Chessy’s the only extrovert, and even then…she’s kind of an introverted extrovert 😛

@jenwriter17 I remember Jax, but I don’t remember the characters vividly enough to really say if they’re this type or that. (I have an overabundance of introverts too! I guess I find it hard to imagine what it’s like being extroverted!)
